I found a thread a while ago about compiling the svn client for some extra features(cant remember now) but I cant find it anymore. Im on linux so i did this to check out the latest code:
svn co svn://svn.icculus.org/tremulous/trunk
Is that right?
Then i cd to the trunk dir and typed make. A client and dedicated server compiled but I get this error when trying to run it:
Sys_Error: recursive error after: ^3menu file not found: ui/menus.txt, using default
Any Ideas?

assume svn compatible with stock 1.1.0 tremulous
contradiction ... look above for a counter example

huh?

SVN client executable doesn't support vanilla QVM files and pure vanilla/TJW/SVN servers won't let you play with other than vanilla QVMs. Also the features you want are in the QVM files, not the game executable itself.

ok, so i cant update to svn and still play as normal?

Not that easily. Someone is going to have to compile new clients... :-?
