I hate to write this but we had to ban all IPs in 83.30.0.0/16 network because of repeated griefing from DHCP users. We will contact this ISP and ask them to solve this problem on their side to allow their clients to play on our server. However, if they refuse, we may have to keep this ban.
-
Yea who next will !ban Poland ?

HAHAHA
I wish you good luck!!
It's nearly impossible even for TP customers to get any feedback from this monopolistic company.
Most likely you won't get any answer at all, so don't even bother - it's only a waste of time.
TEPSA sucks!
EDIT: some misspelling :P
-
Good luck.

ISP wont respond
-
Soon Poland will have 3-4 servers on the serverlist xD
-
poor poland :\

not rely, at least half of deconners/griefers are from poland.

lol

i wonder how true that really is. someone should make some kind of tremstatsish thing where every ban is recorded and by the ip its classified in a certain country. then we can see where most griefers come from :p im thinking usa would be kinda up there...american children like to blow up things, and when they cant blow up the enemies...well...
-
"The truth is over there..." :)
Like the word "kurva" is not only polish word, similar not all deconers and spamers are from Poland.
After all, Kocour servers have been re-opened for polish players

I don't know anything about the ban being removed. However, only Neostrada ADSL users have been banned from main and league servers. Train server shouldn't have this ban because it's on a different machine. So if your provider isn't Neostrada ADSL, you can play just fine.
Anyway, even if Neostrada fucks all its good players to protect one asshole, I could hack together some GUID registration system so we could remove the IP ban. It'll take some time though...

Isnt worth of it, i already published a howto for passing up GUID bans some weeks ago so.
Just ask ppl to whine to their operator, they will listen to the customers, they will have to

Yeah, to pass GUID BLACKLIST. The registration system will work as WHITELIST.

Wheee, ban the world!

hehe, no chance.
you don't know tpsa.
they don't give a fuck about their customers (as every monopolist)

That sounds alot better but causes a big job to admins, you have to add all ppl to it etc

delete qkey
restart router
join
oh dont forget to change your name before joining
-
delete qkey
join
You have been kicked from the server. Reason: Registered users only.
That's how a whitelist works.

where can I register plus how will you prevent multiple registrations ( dynamic IP)

Something like Gmail permits should work just about fine.
-
Multiple IPs wouldn't matter if it were GUID based. Of course, there would then be a black market for legit qkeys :) though not really a market per say.
I've suggested something that I frankly do not have the capability to implement. An LDAP/MySQL interface for tremded.x86 and a method to enter username/passwords on the client side to enter a server. Basically an authentication infrastructure. Not something that would be required to be used, just a way to allow operators to require a username/password to access the server. Web based registration would then be simple as it would just need to enter records in a DB/LDAP store.
Sadly, I cannot do this before trem version 3 is released due to my thick headedness :P
-
GUID, PB like authentication, or whatever you try to implement to stop griefers just won't work. Until you limit the build class to (effectively) just one, griefing will continue in 1.2, 1.3, 1.4*...

!ban nepal

+1 (lol)
