I have banned zilla clan from accessing the teamspeak server (by ip). There are probably a few who can get on, I'll catch them later. I will also ban them on site on our game server.
Web sites are still available to them, for now if they want to post and respond.
I have to rant about them, tonight I thought (thought being past tense)we had a great game with zilla, we had a draw. We have a demo where if you can see if we had 5 more minutes, we would have won, but thats irrelevant, a timelimit is a timelimit. I will post it later. Anyway, back to the rant, these guys are SO picky about whats running on the server, they ask about 10 questions right away before we start, thats ok I guess, but they also complain a little too. I even have to turn off private messages for the little babies. So far I'm not having a problem. To summarize the whole game, we play, it lasts 50 minutes, they fail to penetrate our defenses, and we cant get past their goons to their base.
In the middle of the game, they order us to kick all spectators. WTF? ok, why ? Because they think their is somebody specing and telling us whats going on. They imply we are cheating, so we grudgingly agree with their "suggestion" and kick everyone except the players. Right afterward, one of them joins OUR PRIVATE TS CHANNEL AND PROMPTLY LEAVES AGAIN! Thats right, he goes into our ts channel to check if one of the spectators was in there helping us. Of course nobody was but we hear the join/leave message and he acknowledges what he did. Hey zilla ? Don't like the fact that we are not jumping into your goons yet ? Huh ?! Guess that means we are cheating, cause' we're not suiciding for them. That kinda starts to bug me. Now I'm getting annoyed. Isn't this a friggin game ? I would like to think our clan has a reputation for fairness and good sportsmanship. Sportsmanship being the keyword that zilla doesn't understand I think.
After its a draw, we get called campers, and they whine at us. They WHINE. They might say otherwise, but thats what it is. They don't like the fact that we didn't run out every second to feed them for their win. All the OPP guys are like "huh ? gg right ?" but these zilla dudes aren't happy with that. They probably are not used to draws or losses, it maybe pisses them off ? They continue along the lines of "fucking campers" blah blah, and thats when I decided I dont want their kind on my server anymore. So with the help of my admins we kick them.
I now have a key to permban any on site when I see them. Go back to playing immature 12 year olds that can relate to your crap. I'm too friggin old to put up with it. I just want to play a game.
And thats how it is.

I would like to point out our other 2 scrimmages against zilla were on there server and we didnt make them change a single setting. At first we asked for no spectators, than we let them slide and let zilla spectate. None of our members were there besides the players because they didnt know the server pw. For all we know there zilla players were on teamspeak ghosting(verbally telling them what we are doing). But we didnt bitch, also Tbob was on ts but was muted. To discourage anychance of ghosting, Whichever zilla who came in to check on our ts crowd saw this.
I thought we were cool with zilla, I honestly expected something if we beat them, I knew they would bitch. but to bitch because of a draw, and a loosing one at that. (I have demo of me taking out eggs after sd).
Zilla was our first 2 matchs, and each one we have goten closer to winning than the first. I guess there egos get hurt by a tie.

I watched the demo and lolled @ both teams. Yes zilla should have played with those settings if there was no prior agreement on settings.
But OPP jesus wtf was that? In 25 mins i only saw you leave the turrets once and even then you only went 10 meters. wtf was that? I don't want to know how you played in your last match if that campathon was better then your last game. You were in s1 with 11 kills to s2 after 25 minutes of gameplay :roll: not cool.

You obviously have no idea how to win a clanmatch. If you leave base with stage 1 humans against goons, you will die. Anyone who says camping is noob hasnt played trem long enough. I have the 2nd half of the demo, I am going to record an avi version of it and post it. The end isnt on tbobs demo.

A stage 1 team that doesn't push their advantage vs dretches and let's the opponent get goons without a single dretch kill hasn't played trem long enough. A human team that cant kill goons is pretty crap no offence.
Well if it helps to call me a noob go ahead it won't change my opinion on that campathon. :roll:.

both teams camped, zilla should have been their base with that reactor move, getting a few frags. you sitting at your turrets ruins the game in my opinion. sure you'll die a few times, you will kill a few dretch, they will get goons, you will chase them down with shotguns, get s2 rush both teams hitting s3 at the same time and actually play the game. camping until sd is soooo lame a team should win with skill (away from their bases)

I agree with Yahoo. The camping is unnecessary and just serves to make the game completely suck ass for everyone. Good people can kill goons, especially post-unlagged.
But I don't terribly feel bad for Zilla getting camped against. I've seen them do the EXACT same thing to others.

We asked for the specs to be kicked because one of our specs suggesed you were ghosting, many clans request it, even your clan. Its standard to just comply and shutup.

You previously said knockback wasn't on. So we were lied to, nice sportsmanship.
Anyways, we did call you campers after you (almost won the round?, after we PURPOSFULLY attacked you with dretches, so maybe you would get s3 and attack.) camped the WHOLE TIME. Say what you will about us camping, we've done it once and it was for about 10 mins at most, and it was just so they couldn't get s2, thus making their base suck. And powa comes back with some big balls talking a whole lot of shit, and what did we respond to it with for about 10 minutes? "Shh please. No mm1."
Then we just talked right back.
Other than the lying to us and not shutting up, i have no problem with opp.

Based on previous matches with opp, we expected no reactor move, so we defended our base while it was being built. 2 grangers can't defend :)

We don't have a knockback patch. The server is a base SVN revision with some fix patches put in, including share and denybuild with tjw. As far as I know we don't have a knockback in the fix patches, I could be wrong, but we tested it and didn't notice it.
You guys are bad sportsmen. You love to cuss (which I have a problem with) and call us names, push us around like you own our server (which we do NOT do when on yours) and complain of our tactics when you don't win, even when others have you ON THE RECORD for having played matches THE SAME WAY WE DID. And most of all what bothers me is you guys think we are going to use our own server or spectators to take advantage of you.
All I expect from other clans when matching or scrimming, is :
1) Be polite, your mom should have taught you this basic thing about living in a world of people. Being on the internet is no excuse to be a jerk off.
2) Don't cuss, we have kids on our server frequently, and the funny thing is most of them are more polite and well mannered then you guys were.
3) Show the clan you are playing some basic respect, I know its easy to assume guilt and cheating on the internet nowdays, but you don't have to walk into our server with that chip on your shoulders and fling it around so much.
4) This is game, don't take it so frickin seriously. If you don't win, its ok, we can ALWAYS PLAY ANOTHER GAME. But I'm not playing with you guys again unless you can be more polite first.
I expect my clan to follow the same rules. Hear that OPP? If I hear of any of my clan griefing I will dismiss them, with proof of course.
Oh and watch that demo, where Bastard just finished off your eggs when the timelimit hit. As a result of that game, I've bumped up the timelimit to 60 minutes. SD is still at 30.

3) I asked KINDLY based on a spectator suggestion, its a common matching practice to remove specs if asked.

You're stupid if you can't tell that we fed you to s3, why else would we have goons and maras running around your base, that you still failed to chase.
And the past matches you had, you DID come closer to winning, because you learned how to play as a team. Camping like that won't make you win, you're ignorant if you fail to see what our tactic was =\

Yes, they share to make goon asap, then they play bait and switch at the entrances. That is their strategy.

What we wanted to hear was that we improved, since last time we got beat pretty bad by you guys by feeding you, but I guess its easier for you to critisize us after a match then offer any constructive feedback, which is pretty standard coming from you guys and I don't expect any different in the future. You guys are very arrogant. I will not authorize any more future scrimmages with your clan.

Also, it was a decent base, but as you saw with my reactor jump, its vulnerable.
If you woulda given is the chance, that was coming. Clans that get better always get recognized for it by us, atleast. You've gotta admit, if you were aliens you would have been a bit aggravated. You made that game really boring. Don't focus your teamwork around camping, focus it around outsmarting the aliens. When you camp like that, you should expect the other team to say something..

Well it's good to hear you don't take it too seriously :D For what it's worth i'll type up a few things that i thought could be worth looking into for your next match.
a) Turn off /share as it tends to favour aliens in s1 where they already have an advantage.
b) Though it may seem like a good idea to camp try to avoid it. By waiting 6 minutes you will make sure that every player on the alien team has goon evo (making it that much harder to get to s2) instead of you having a few kills towards s2 and the aliens having 1 or 2 goons with extra evo.
c) Hunt as a team and get to know eachothers playstyles in public play so you can best complement eachothers playstyles. In public play NEVER camp because camping won't improve your skill/aim/dodging ability.
d) Push your advantage in stage 2 or with even skill you probably won't survive s3(when playing humans).
Of course these are just the opinions of someone who has no idea how to win a clanmatch

The game is not what matters here, its at the end of the game, The chat does. Also in the middle our 9 year old member was told he shouldnt be allowed on the net. That is fucking rude. We even watch our verbal cussing when he is on our teamspeak, and you guys cant even control your typing?
As for the camping, You should see what happens if you dont camp against goons. 3 good goons take out 3 s1 humans so easy. Its 1 hit chomp.
It is zillas plan not to let us see a dretch.
The game is not what we are bitching about, No matter the outcome the comments throughout the game were rude and inmature. Specially coming from a clan leader. (most comments came from smokey).
From now on, I think a strict no chat rule will go into affect for OPP except for me and Beerbitch, But I dont blame my members from being mad based on how a Leader was acting for the other clan.

Alright, as for one of your first point, smokey... How should I say this? Well, he has anger issues. After becoming aggravated (Your team camping most of the game, be it strategy or not), he loses most self control and lashes out at anyone who provokes him. Poor smokey should probably have counseling, but he lives with his grandmother, and if she made him go to counseling, he'd beat her.
2. As for two, yes, it's true, in a fully public game. But as for a clan match, that's a lie. I invite you to come watch Zilla match some time, or even watch USA. (We'll try to record a demo for you too) For example, humans are small and compact, and can fit as many as 4 or 5 in a straight line down the side hall, while only two goons fit. Of course, you probably won't have two goons come at you at once (no chance to maneuver) but only one, against your 3 or 4 guns. Shotguns tend to be the best for getting goons at the side. The reasoning for this is that because humans tend to get the jump on aliens (Be it rushing around a corner, or the line of sight down a hall) They can do a good portion on the large goons before the manage to get close enough to bite. Saying theres 3 shotguns on side, and 2/3 of the bullets hit (Range makes a few miss) the goon should have a hunk of 110 or so by the time the alien is even in range of headchomping one human. By that time, the shotgun should be ready for another shot, straight into a goon, a full blast. Effectivly killing any goon with one to zero deaths, and effectivly draining the alien team of evo. Camping, however, allows the alien team to stay fully stocked with evo's, and be able to easily defend their base against the stage one enemy.
As for the banning of all Zilla, don't you think that was a wee bit over the top? If you read through the chat logs posted here, only Smokey, Doh, and maybe even me, have gave you reason to ban us. If you can't get over what us three have done, please unban the rest of the clan so they can enjoy your server, they've done nothing wrong.
Smokey has calmed down, and wishes to appologize for his rude behavior last night, everyone also present at the clan match would also like to appologize for the uncivil actions that have gone on.
(You're teamwork has improved a good bit though, the little I saw)
Edit: The spectator babel was fairly annoying, and could have been stopped earlier, but we're glad you did something rather then nothing.

If you can't withstand reading or seeing that, then you shouldn't be on the internet. It's a public place, and we all choose whether or not we curse every now and then or not. Like I said, if you have a problem with that, you should get off the internet.
Second of all, if you would of rushed BEFORE we got our goons, before the 2 minutes, and came to the side of our base, we would of tried to kill you, and maybe you could of killed us, which would reset the timing to get our goons. Then, by then you can have 3-4 shotguns, and easily own a goon. Really, camping won't solve it. The only way to fix it, is to actually rush in the beginning, and keep doing that until you kill enough dretches to be prepared for goons. If you do die and feed, at least you have some credits to protect, and it will speed up the process of getting stage 2.
Third of all, we use our dretches wisely, yes. We hide them, and use luring and covering tactics to get our kills and get our goons. So what? It's part of the game. Just use more than one human and you won't get instantly owned by a covering dretch. Check all ceiling corners, and floor corners, and any hiding spots you can think of, as well as watching to make sure you don't get hit by the goon retreating, coming to backfire on you. Really, just takes some practice and you can get this checking and attacking down pack.
Fourth of all, if you hadn't of camped the entire game, and made it as boring as it was, I wouldn't of gotten aggravated, and I wouldn't of aggravated Smokey to a point where he went off on you. It was me who started complaining, simply because I was already aggravated before the game started anyways. So, this is practically equally each of our faults, both teams.
Fifthly, Usually mm1 in a match is definitely a no-no, but powa_overwhelming got a little out of hand, as did we. Maybe you should put that into effect, seeing as it could prevent future arguments, and future bannings of other clans.
Lastly, I think most of our other members have apologized/already gave their thoughts on that match, so I will as well:
I enjoyed most of our matches with you guys. You definitely have gotten better, but when you decided to camp, you went a little too overboard with trying to be safe. Don't be so scared, and just use your teamwork to the best ability that you guys have. I can honestly say, most of our matches would of been lost without teamwork, so teamwork is the key for us, to winning matches. I think it would result in the same for you guys, or at least improve your clan's skills so that the game comes out a lot closer.
Just take it slow, use your teamwork, try not to go off on the other clan, and try not to ban other clans. We were simply frustrated and aggravated, as would anyone get in such a situation.
I'm sorry for cursing. I have a bad habit of doing that when I'm severely frustrated or aggravated, in this case I was, and I didn't realize your clan member was 9, nor did I take time to care at the moment. So I do apologize to him, and your members for all the profanity and insults.
Anyways, I think that's about it.
I hope you will forgive us, and eventually match us again because you guys were just starting to get closer and closer to our level, and I was really looking forward to having more matches with you.

It may be public but it is run by us. In the MOTD it says no cussing, and we inforce that. We have a member who we let tag himself because his dads in our clan, he is 9. We knew he would be playing with us so we decided to fallow yaklairs lead and try and discourage cussing.

It may be public but it is run by us. In the MOTD it says no cussing, and we inforce that. We have a member who we let tag himself because his dads in our clan, he is 9. We knew he would be playing with us so we decided to fallow yaklairs lead and try and discourage cussing.

I have banned zilla clan from accessing the teamspeak server (by ip). There are probably a few who can get on, I'll catch them later. I will also ban them on site on our game server.
Web sites are still available to them, for now if they want to post and respond.
I have to rant about them, tonight I thought (thought being past tense)we had a great game with zilla, we had a draw. We have a demo where if you can see if we had 5 more minutes, we would have won, but thats irrelevant, a timelimit is a timelimit. I will post it later. Anyway, back to the rant, these guys are SO picky about whats running on the server, they ask about 10 questions right away before we start, thats ok I guess, but they also complain a little too. I even have to turn off private messages for the little babies. So far I'm not having a problem. To summarize the whole game, we play, it lasts 50 minutes, they fail to penetrate our defenses, and we cant get past their goons to their base.
In the middle of the game, they order us to kick all spectators. WTF? ok, why ? Because they think their is somebody specing and telling us whats going on. They imply we are cheating, so we grudgingly agree with their "suggestion" and kick everyone except the players. Right afterward, one of them joins OUR PRIVATE TS CHANNEL AND PROMPTLY LEAVES AGAIN! Thats right, he goes into our ts channel to check if one of the spectators was in there helping us. Of course nobody was but we hear the join/leave message and he acknowledges what he did. Hey zilla ? Don't like the fact that we are not jumping into your goons yet ? Huh ?! Guess that means we are cheating, cause' we're not suiciding for them. That kinda starts to bug me. Now I'm getting annoyed. Isn't this a friggin game ? I would like to think our clan has a reputation for fairness and good sportsmanship. Sportsmanship being the keyword that zilla doesn't understand I think.
After its a draw, we get called campers, and they whine at us. They WHINE. They might say otherwise, but thats what it is. They don't like the fact that we didn't run out every second to feed them for their win. All the OPP guys are like "huh ? gg right ?" but these zilla dudes aren't happy with that. They probably are not used to draws or losses, it maybe pisses them off ? They continue along the lines of "fucking campers" blah blah, and thats when I decided I dont want their kind on my server anymore. So with the help of my admins we kick them.
I now have a key to permban any on site when I see them. Go back to playing immature 12 year olds that can relate to your crap. I'm too friggin old to put up with it. I just want to play a game.
And thats how it is.

Anytime we clan matched them, we suggested sometimes to use our server than they go no theres too much lag, no theres this no theres that or no the SD is gay change it.
Well they allow spectators when they play when they are invited by them... they won't kick out their own members when they are CLEARLY on there TeamSpeak while the match is on, I have checked myself, i wasnt an idiot.

For what it's worth, you shouldn't have a match against Zilla if you don't want to listen to them complain most of the time. :) I like Smokey, but he has a short temper, and he's easily provoked.

I accept the apologies from the Zilla members I've been reading on this thread. I've removed the ip bans from the teamspeak server.
I'm done ranting about this so I'm not saying anything else. Zilla can always find me late at night on my server if they want to talk to me.
And thank you everyone for the constructive feedback regarding our match, I honestly appreciate it and found value in some.

Beer your 100% right about smokey... I've only delt with about 5 zilla members but the only one of those five that I found respectful was Blazearaid.
About warring them I would set all rules way before the match even starts... every time I've warred with them it was on there server and they would keep there members speced but kick other specs... makes you wonder.
Also if smokey has anything to hold over you he will do so... reason why mw had to fight him so much... when we finally said no and would accept he remover our site he had offered to host and that is the big start to the fight between him and rob... now yes rob made a big ass of himself and should have done things differently but to me it spoke worse for smokeys character.

We usually never kick anyone from our server during a CW
What we do is turn PMoff(Any levle 6 and higher can do that) and tell spec to stfu and use team chat or they'll get muted.
Even though we do all have ts, during clan match, we usually have more then half the clan along with lots of people like, k-otic, freak, oashin, ghost as well as a bunch of others just there to listen to smokey screaming at us. There is no ghosting and all of those people can say so. If there was I'd kick anyone who was off the server asap. I don't take in lightly with cheaters.
On the subject of camping, I myself, even in a CW, dislike camping, and continually press smokey to go out of the base. I beleive having turrets do most of the damage for you is unskillful. There are times when its fine to camp a little, but never more then a few minutes. That comming from the girl that prefers charging in a pack of hungry tyrants with her rifle rather then sit on her turrets. Only time I camp is when I'm in charge of building, in which case I'm also base defender when my team goes on the offensive.
On teh subject of cursing, I keep bitching smokey about it and he won't change, so good luck making him change >.>
As for your 9 year old, no offense, but he probably hears worse from his class mates and his teachers at school.
I think both sides(Not counting rob) Acted like 12 years old during that game and were both wrong. I'm happy the mather was finally settled in a civilised manner.

If you said, "Hi everyone, is this a clan match?", you deserved to be banned.
If you said, "Everyone on this server performs oral sex on dead donkey phallus and should make the world a better place by jumping off a bridge." then I would say they over-reacted....

Tbob, exeptions occur, most of the time if spec get kicked its because the other clan requested it, that is, most of the time it happens. I've yet to see smokey kick spec during a CW though.

This is why zilla aint cool. MW used to have clan matches and we demanded the same things they are now and they complained like hell that we didn't want any specs or anything, so its really weird seeing them demanding all the stuff we demanded in our matches... Who is paranoid now?
