Title: What's wrong with double posting?
Post by: E-Mxp on February 20, 2007, 10:04:59 am
What is wrong with you guys?

Plz, tell me what is wrong with double posting. I don't understand why some people respond with: oMG hE dOUBLE pOSTED!!!11!! ...like the world collapses if you do so

Is it against the rules or something? I first thought that double posting meant that you post your first message again, but you say he doubleposted if he sends 2 messages. WTF!

I cant get my mind over it. It's... Who cares if you doublepost? It isn't like they com to visit you and kick your ass. (is it??  :-? )

If you just stop blaming everyone from double posting, the forums would be a happy place with lots of happy things  :D

Please, reply.

Hmmm..

Try to find answer for question from 2 threads when both are the same, but still have different replies...

Basically, people don't like you artificially inflating your post count or bumping a thread which contains no discussion (a discussion: more than one participant) up the forum page. If you have anything to add, you can edit your last post. It's generally easier to read and less confusing than if you reply to your own post.

Yes, your right about that it is annoying to say in a serius topic: oMG pONIES!!11!  :D
But if you really have to say something, its not evil. (...or is it?? )

Usually, if you have something to add within a day of a post, it is better to edit it. If you have another idea, and want to have the thread bumped up a bit, then you can post twice.

It only bothers me if you have an ungodly huge signature, in which case you deserve to burn in hell anyway. If you're double posting in order to quote multiple people or something, and not being a troll like Plague Bringer, I don't see what's wrong with it.

In this forum, your sig only shows up on your first post in the thread, so that's ok. It's not really that hard to write
and
when you need to, though...

Actually the sig only shows up on your first post on each page.
And for multi-quoting, just click quote, then copy it, then quote person #2 and paste.
