Title: Alien Devolving

Nice mod :)

One thing I havent seen suggested here is the addition of an alien 'devolving'  ability, to go back to lower classes, would help in those nasty base attack situations (just like humans can sell their weapon and get the ckit). Aliens, however, shouldn't get their credits back after devolving.

I think it has been suggested several times and i also think the answer has always been no.

yeah that post is a few months old, i've been told that if aliens let humans kill their eggs they shouldn't deserve being able to rebuild, I was quite skeptic at first but after lots and lots of games aliens are the ones that ussually win after relocating (when old base is destroyed), even without being able to devolve, ussually humans can't even get a repeater/reactor up before loosing when their old base is destroyed. Going for the alien eggs is perhaps the easiest way to put an overly offensive alien team at a disadvantage (while still being incredibly hard against alien players that know how to count, hehe)
