I'd like to see in new version of Tremulous an advanced dretch (no evos needed to evolve).
Example:
30hp instead of 25
10% more speed
10% more damage (optional)
It can be added in stage2 or stage3, as you prefer. Dretches suck too much against pulse rifles, bs and lucis
Moreover move avd goons from stage 3 to stage 2, sniping ability would balance the fight in stage 2, if you don't like this option you can add more damage points to adv granger snipe, so he can attack.
IMHO the best fight actually take place at stage 1, at stage 2 humans are stronger than aliens, at stage 3 aliens (tyrs) are stronger than humans.
Add secondary fire to pulse rifle
Add an "advanced rifle" at stage 3 (35 bullets instead of 30, more damage, secondary fire)
When om is down alien's radar should be deactivated (don't know if it's already implemented)
Prevent human camping and lasgun/pulse/luci spam
Sitting on a building should damage it (except medistation), so humans can't camp on turrets.
No idea about how to prevent spam :( (maybe weapon overheating?)
To prevent deconers:
need at least 2 constructor in a team to decon reactor/om, this doesn't mean it takes 2 ppl to decon, just there must be another constructor (alive) in the team, otherwise you can't decon
the last node/egg can't be deconned, if you are moving base you must build a node in new base before deconing the last of old base.
Give to human constructors a melee attack, blaster is useless against pretty all aliens.

Ok, naked humans are too weak against tyr and dretches are too weak against bs, the result is that they're pretty useless at s3.
Make them both a little stronger (as said above).

add more damage points to adv granger snipe, so he can attack.

Bad idea, if :granger:'s try to attack hummies they always die

Weapon overheating is a good idea, it really is.
To prevent deconers:
need at least 2 constructor in a team to decon reactor/om, this doesn't mean it takes 2 ppl to decon, just there must be another constructor (alive) in the team, otherwise you can't decon the last node/egg can't be deconned, if you are moving base you must build a node in new base before deconing the last of old base.
Also, this is a good idea. Finally teamwork in building.

Fail.
Deconning protection is already in SVN - The marking system whereby a structure is marked for deconstruction then only removed when the bp are needed for a new structure.
Melee for human builders? They're builders, not fighters. In a good team the builders are adequately defended by their teammates. Human builders can have a blaster, light armour, helmet or battlesuit. Grangers have nothing, adv grangers have almost nothing.
Spam protection: !kick !ban
Damage human structures when they're stood on? No. How about reduce a turret's aiming speed or range if somebody is camping on it?
Advanced dretch? They're powerful enough at S1, it's not advised to use a dretch against S2/S3 enemies, much like a rifle is not much good against a tyrant.

What a SUPER phail. what about the servers without building ff? and what if you dont have 100 credits...and what if the armoury is so far away it'd be quicker to decon and rebuild rather then psaw, run, buyckit, run, build.

rifel vs advgoon = rifelpwnage.....all you have to do is run straight at the goon and act like you've got a painsaw.....it's really easy to take down an adv goon if u have a light armour and helmet like that because you'll survive a pounce when it tries to get away and ur infront of it and u'll survive a headchomp ;) (lol...sorry for the crappy spelling and grammar and stuff, I'm quite tired ><)

Painsaw is good for 200, while the flamethrower does 100.

Yeah, but the flamer has the advantage that you can use it to make the flaming blaster glitch!

YEY lets put em in trem.
and temple a rifle against a tyrant is a better idea than a las/md/psaw/flamer and it costs less too.

Depends on the goon. If I'm not lagged, I tend to pounce into the human, then over, chomp, into again, and chomp again. Depends on the circumstances but it just takes practice to kill a helmet + light armored human. Those humans are only a problem if they have pulse rifle or better. Unfortunately, the game progresses from s2-s3 too fast to really get the hang of it (at least on big servers). The major issue is that it feels hard to kill s2 humans because goons are so powerful in s1.

Advanced Dretch (AS3, 0 evos)

Deactivate alien's radar when om is down.
Reduce a turret's aiming speed and attack range if somebody is sitting on it (to prevent turret camping).
Weapon overheating for lucifer cannon (to prevent luci-spam)

range will *hopefully* be greatly reduced for a tyrant...FINALLY...i can hide under staris without being slashed from a meter and a half away -.-

Another idea... it would be nice if humans could place turrets also on walls and ceiling. Don't know if it has already been suggested or if it's possble to code such a feature.

Already suggested. By me! I think you could easily do it by allowing only the turret to rotate freely depending on what surface the indicator is closest to, and disable the gravity for the turret, so it would be "magnetically" connected to the wall/ceiling/floor/etc.

turrets on the wall would absolutely own...no more turret blocking!..only thing is we'd have to give aliens more ranged attacks...or give the turrets really shitty range...and I dont think either will happen...so i dont think wall and ceiling mounted turrets will work...somone could mod it and present the results to the dev staff though!

If magnetic turrets cost 10 or 12bp instead of 8 maybe humans will not abuse of them.
The +goon already has a powerful range attack, in sudden death half of the base is always destroyed by sniping goons.
Maybe magnetic turret can bring people to use more +goons and less tyrants.
Another suggestion, tyr evolution needs 6 evos instead of 5, so ppl with 9 evos can't do +goon and tyr in a row without killing anyone, maybe we'll see more +goons and les tyrs

This feature has been around for some time on some servers.

Edit (so I don't have dubble post): I had a idea, why not make a MAGMA_RIFLE!![/color] A rifle that spits out bolts of magma (in a ark) to the enemy and then burn him :D. It should be in a strait line so no teamkilles and selfdamage. It should be more powerfull than a flamethrower and painsaw together. Should cost $1200 :D

tyrant only requires 6 evos (total) if you evolved from an advanced species (all advanced species charge one extra evo to evolve out of it)
so if you go adv goon and suicide the armoury/reactor/defences then you can go tyrant right away
