Noticed the server today was getting quite full, more full than usual actually (16 players at one point) so i started wondering where all these people were coming from. Most likely it's just word of mouth but it's interesting nonetheless.
Myself i was browsing http://www.linux-gamers.net , trying to find a how to on how to install Quake3 when i ran across one of the headlines featuring Tremulous, been hooked ever since.

i heard about it on http://www.linuxgames.com/

been keeping an eye on it on and off the past year or so. hadnt played any of the testing/beta games though since was on 56k those times.
-
heard it from stannum, played it for a year and a half or so

I check the website every 6 months... today was time to check it again and voila, released! :o

I was playing gloom back in 2001, then heard somethings about a gloom for quake 3 that looked better than the then being developed q3 gloom community project. Then some years later they need a modeller and I thinks: "Hey, I could try that!" Then I did and they were like "Yay!" and I joined.

I heard about it from stannum a looooong time ago, even dled one of the alphas, never got to play it untill 2 weeks ago though :P

Heard of it when timbo asked for some testers on q3w. Play now and then since.

I heard if it one day way back when before open testing when I stumbled upon the test server, and then downloaded all the content from it and popped into the private testing, since then I became a tester and have been playing since.

Grim was the first to show me a uber-supersecret alpha alpha version of trem which was basically a spiffy hud, the abillity to walk up walls, the unfinished tremors map (with all the dead-end skyboxes), and a small viewheight.
