After listening to tremradio, Dasprid got me hooked on Children of Bodom. However, quite frankly, it's just not hard enough.
I need something that will pulse between each ear muff and cause my ears to bleed. Are there any bands out there that sound something like a jackhammer beating on concrete to free a kitten in a drainage pipe? Hook me up.

Finnish heavy metal FTW
but still
try Meshuggah
-
do you care if they scream a lot?
Atreyu screams a lot.
and Protest the Hero to an extent.
-
Atreyu

I need something hard, real hard.

Oh man. Do I! I want it to scream like they just siphoned off a tank of petrol and forgot to put their cig out. But the guitar needs to have some atomic blast punch to it as well. I want my hair to fly backwards from the sonic boom as I wrap the ear muffs around my head.
I'll check out those suggestions guys. Much obliged.

Dying Fetus.. The brutal riffs and blast beats will blow your head off. Killer dual-vocal and dual-guitar attacks will gib the rest of your body.
Then listen to Necrophagist so they can eat your corpse (As the name implies).
:D

Drumcorps less screaming, more loud instuments, heavy emphasis on drums
-
hit your head against the wall
-
System Of A Down
Megadeath
Metallica
Slayer
My four favorite Heavy Metal bands!

I'll try out your suggestion. But in the past all I ever got from doing that was a hollow echo beat. I need something with a little more kick. Maybe I'll try out that technique with my rott weiler instead.
MC, I like those bands too. I think I'll try and play 'em backwards to get some extra juice out of 'em.

Cradle of Filth
Static X
Bile
Fear Factory
Backstreet Boys
-
Let me see.
Zao
Lamb of God
Dragonforce - Not so much screaming, but amazing guitar/drums
Protest the hero - With screaming, and good guitar and drums.
Rob Zombie
Radiohead
Tool
MSI (mindless self indulgence)
-
neurosis
immortal (especially "at the heart of winter" album)
and one that I don't remember (and maby it's better for you mental health...) but I'll ask my friend who knows the name of the band
-
Radiohead

Stryper was pretty good back in the day. Helloween took the mantle from Stryper and actually improved it!
-
since its been mentioned a couple times, might as well throw out a video for Protest the Hero.

there is so much innuendo nowadays that it just rolls right off me.
-
Innuendo? Is that some kind of italian pasta?
Yeah, I admit it, I set some bait up there in the subject description - at my own expense of course. I mostly got some good responses though and some kick ass music now on my seagate. So it worked out pretty good I think.

that's so sigged

I stumbled on this band yesterday...
In Flames
Check 'em out. You might want a can of aspirin and water ready though - a pretty mind thumping experience. Just what I was looking for.
