Me and my friend were thinking, what if instead of using energy, the jetpack used fuel. And had a limited amount of fuel so they would have to be re fuled at the armory. Something like, 5-7 mins of fuel I think would be enough.
Thoughts?

5-7 min wont even stop jetards.
Make the jet pack better, and have 20-30 secs.

What about another jetpack with 20-30 seconds of fuel that can be used for reactor moves? It'd be an alternative to trying to get all the retards on your team to defend and coordinate a reactor move. Half the people in tremulous are so retarted doing things like that they'll get owned by a basi at s3 >_>

Or mabey the jetpack can store 20-30 seconds of energy, to use while reactor is down?

I like that idea matt, there would have to be a hud overlay for the amount of time left however.

Something between 1:30 and 3 minutes seems to be good... (it need in-game tests).
And please, developers, reduce the annoyance of the Jet sound or create a self-destruction system for jetard campers!

yeah, i would like to use the jetpack when reac is down. self base/reac moves would be good in a small game.

Yes that would be nice to have a short fly time after the reactor is down.  Makes moving to higher ground much easier to coordinate since you wont need 2 people to work together, one on top and on at the reactor.  I would say 30sec - 1 min of air time would be good for a moderately far reactor move.

Like Jet Trooper in Starwars Battlefront, you could make it so that you fly for few seconds (what other said)

or like Dark Trooper, you could have a quick jump jetpack (or maybe not)

Jetpack power = current stamina. :wink:
Constant drain comparable to sprinting.
Run out of stamina, and you are grounded!!!
Turn it off and stand still to regen it, like normal.
