Does there have to be some agreement between the administration here and the ppl at xfire to get tremulous on xfire, because i want xfire to support it.
For anyone who doesnt know wat xfire is: www.xfire.com
-
Except for Xfire is proprietary software, and depending on how it works specificly it might not be compatable with the GPL. Even if it is much if not most of the Tremulous community doesn't use windows.
-
I'm pretty sure that all you have to do is rename your tremulous.exe to quake3.exe then repoint xfire to it.
-
Yup.
-
Yea, but this isnt answering my question, does administration here have to give xfire the ok to add tremulous (if it can be added). Because there are many ppl who play trem who have xfire.
-
If enough people spam their game submit address, they may add it.
-
They added DigitalPaintball 2 (standalone Quake 2 mod) and it has a smaller community than trem, but may have around the same amount of windows users...I dunno, Smokey would.
-
k, that seems to answer my question, thx
-
I have been waiting for support also.

That seems to be the general purpose.

xfire also lets u join friends games. one reason y i want trem supported, so i can join a friends game from my desktop.

You can get it to work with Trem. I did. It won't show up as trem but as Quake III. That and the server lists work fine.

Scroll down and it'll show you my favorited servers. As you can probably tell, they're all Trem servers even though the game is listed as Quake III.

you dont mind telling us how?

Read the one page thread maybe.
