A thought came to me in a dream, so this is it.
Humans have a building that emits radiowaves to screw up alien radar.
Aliens have a nauscious gas to balance it. The gas would be like the spy grenade in team fortress, it makes you see things that aren't there. Ill let you think of what it sees, but I was thinking dretchs and basilisks running around.

I thinks that pretty cool. But instead of having the aliens gas make you see things that aren't there, just make it blur the vision a little bit.

Your building sounds cool but would be easy to cheat around to get your radar working normally, right now many people play humans at have radar without helmet because of modified qvm files.
Hovel needs barb gun, humans need controllable arsenals, 'nuff said.

yea, but every patch will crack down on those ppl, then these buildings would be cool. I like my idea better then just a blurry screen, but its not up to just me, its up to the trem community majority

How bout a structure that's kinda shaped like a porcupine or something...it shoots barbs at the humies, and they poison them. Like a turret with non-tracehit projectiles, poison, and slower fire rate.

Enough with the ideas. The game is already great without new buildings. You want lots of leet buildings go play Generals Zero Hour or something. Btw CnC 3 sucks ass.. including the FMV

yes, tremulous is very good the way it is, but i feel just a thing here and there could be added/fixed. 1st i thought of the aliens building, then i needed a human building to balance it out. Since they're adding/fixing stuff up, these are somethings i'm suggesting. If they really added it, then u can just choose not to use them.
Also, remember if u makeup an alien building, u must balance it. I dont want things like youve mentioned(instakills) The thing with mine were the aliens radar is disabled, but can still use sight. Then for humans, their sights disabled, but still have radar.
The only other thing I'm hoping they add are 1-2 more alien ranged attacks.
(I think it will balnce more if they make tyrant weaker)
O, and ive never tried General's, it looks cool, but we can talk about that in the OFF TOPIC FORUM!!!

Lot's of selection = lot's to balance. I dunno take your pick: sweet balance or sweet gear.

Transperant walls SUCK. I mean, it sounds like a cool idea at first, but then, you know, your face starts to hurt after about an hour of running into them.

Except that if you modify your qvm, you can't play on any public trem servers, because they set sv_pure 1.

he's right about qvms...
but the radar with no helmet thing is a client-side hack
that requires pure-check breaking, not a qvm mod.

Just some nit-picking..
The thing with mine were the aliens radar is disabled, but can still use sight. Then for humans, their sights disabled, but still have radar.
Humans have the radar in their helmets, therefore, they need to see their helmet to see their radar.
Aliens (I'm assuming) use sound or vibrations for their radar so they would be able to use it all the time.
IMO, you got this backwards!
Aliens DO have radar but are blind.
Humans DONT have radar but can see
The only other thing I'm hoping they add are 1-2 more alien ranged attacks.

The tyrant isn't being weakend, it's range is simpily being decreased to a realistic value

But I do see wat u r saying with the humans. Here's my advancement into this idea. Anyone play hl2, the sand pounders that scared away the sandlion. The human building would be similiar, but would continually send soundwaves at the aliens frequency to make their radar show more than there really is. Good for hiding bases.
The alins would launch gas. The radar could still be seen. The thing is, nothing weird would show up on the radar, only in the vision aspect. Like you might see an army of drechs, so if u dont have radar, you waste ammo shooting them, and not the real drechs. The aliens seen would be based on the tech lvl.

The Humans would roll joints, get stoned and start humping grangers.

Ground trappers should attack jetpackers and bring them down to the ground (got that idea while playing with noclip :D)

I think all grangers should get dual mounted .50 automatics on hovels; also there should be a ninja granger that's dressed in all black and has a katana and nunchucks.

my idea for humans is that thay have something that laches s3 aleans into there base they would be owned by the tesa geirator and you. you could always face it the other way so they are knoked away from the base

Alien evolution probly would have found nerve gas best gas. Current gas is too weak to counted as poisonus gas. More like weak acid spray. Even rat poison makes killing more easy.

a new bulding idea for aleans is something agest rifle men. on s1 i can esly get into a alean base unlike the humans wich require a lot more skill to penitrate
they need something to kill rifle men maby asid that stays on the floor so if you run over it you die

One thing though, radar is not a good way to kill aliens. Its a good tracker and foreseeing element, so you don't "accidentally" walk into a acid shower or a cluster of aliens. You can't really use it a replacement for normal sight.

Last I checked, this is the Feedback suggestion where people are supposed to field their thoughts and ideas.
Anyway, what's wrong with C&C 3? The graphics are amazing, the fact that you can recover enemy walkers with an engineer is awesome, the alien shielding and storm generation machines are sweet, GDIs new defense towers are intense, and Nod has a mech unit that can gain new abilities by trashing other Nod units (ie: crushes a stealth tank to gain cloaking ability)
(I'm not entirely off topic here, just defending a game I love. :) )

We do have a thing exactly like that, its called a trapper. But we need it the other way around. Humans need a stucture to trap aliens.

We have that already. You only need to concentrate together as a team and the alien side will be confused enough to produce...

Btw CnC 3 was CnC Generals with some tweaked models and new corny FMV. If you watch the FMVs you'll see what I mean. The look on Grace Park's face was saying "What the fuck am I doing here ?". In conclusion, CnC3 doesn't have the same spirit as the original CnC series. Hell even the FMV in Tiberian Sun was better.

Anyways, well, it would be good having "blank zones" where the aliens have to rely on other senses, like sound (thats what I do).

I've been gone for a little bit. But the basic idea i still think of this are defensive structures that don't hurt, but take away senses.
Sry, but i'm not going to quote, someone said radar can't take the place of true vision. Yes, but the thing is if you see something on your radar, as well as see an alien, you'd shoot. The alien thing doesn't keep you from seeing aliens, just makes you see more than there really are, so the aliens have a higher survival rating.
Then the human structure would either disable the alien radar ability. Or maybe it would do more.
My point is not to make an unbeatable superweapon so stop talking about super hovels and stuff, stick to a serious subject.
