}Mercenaries Guild{ Announcement -- Public Patch Tracker
(http://www.mercenariesguild.net/wikiimages/patchTrackSmall.png)
Mercenaries Guild is ready to announce our latest aid to the Tremulous Community -- MG's Public Patch Tracker (http://patches.mercenariesguild.net (http://patches.mercenariesguild.net)). This is a web tool that helps programmers interested in helping Tremulous development to get their code seen, revised, and used. However, for the casual player and server admin, this is an important tool also:
} Features {
1) List of tasks/patches
2) Completion levels for patches
3) Easy overview
4) Plenty of room for comments and file uploads
} Why Should I Use This? {
1) Developers such as Risujin, Avenger, vcxzet, foobar, benmachine, Napkin, peoro, and others (sorry for no mention) have begun using this.
2) Projects that are being handled there include parts of Balance Mod, Domination, Supremacy Mod, /share, /steal, /me, layout, stick spectators, a player rating system, a warp prevention system, credit overflow, and much more. Do you want to know what some of those are? Well then... come find out!
3) Be heard -- have good ideas that you thing should positively impact the game or mod? Post them where relevant, and the maintainer will likely read them. Always wanted that new feature? Perhaps make a request. (Don't waste the developers' time, though)
4) Server admins, you can easily grab the latest patches for your servers here. This is the place to find all those things that you always wanted.
So, new programmers: this is your chance to get a start in Tremulous development. Server admins: come grab your patches. Players: if you have good ideas, come tell the developers. mercenariesguild.net/patches/
Thanks for your time and keep on rocking in the free (as in open source) world,
- Garoth of Mercenaries Guild (we do stuff)

Note:
This tracker can also be used to create "Feature Requests" for modders.
Feel free to post a properly thought-out and well formated request on the tracker. If a modder likes it, he is easily able to assign himself to the task, and start coding it up.
I will be monitoring posts, so if you post something moronic, not thought-out, or not in Proper English, I will delete it - and send you a nice e-mail to try again.
Thanks!
Khalsa

Thank you so much for doing this. Its so annoying tracking down the individual patches I want to put into our custom qvm. Also, thanks MG and Tuple in particular for his support of our clan, he gave us links to your map packs which we also use.

Good feature, but why is this stuck?

Good feature, but why is this stuck?
The MG patch tracker is currently the one and only publicly accessible (upload too) patch repository for "questionable" patches that do not belong on Bugzilla. This is sticky'd because it holds the collective work of the Mods forum!

Good feature, but why is this stuck?
stupid browser plugin
-
yet another step in MG's evil scheme.
-
NEVER TRUST MGs!!!
-
Matt you have yet to post anything about tremulous at all, if you want to piss against this patch tracker. 4 posts from you and none are about trem.

How i can use this?
Only with compile the .patch file with the mingw?
I can't compile with mingw.
When i try it, there is an error.
:(
Edit:
Upload the tool?
-
Post the error?
MG has an IRC channel, #mercenariesguild on FreeNode.
-
Thanks.
The IRC is a good help :)

I get a 404 at the current link. I believe the proper link is http://patches.mercenariesguild.net/
-
Correct, thanks F50
-
Is that still even used? Most of the patches there will not apply cleanly and many are obsolete.
-
It is still used.
Plus this: http://patches.mercenariesguild.net/index.php?project=4
-
This now has been shutdown, sorry for any inconvenience.
-
Sad. I was just about to submit a huge patch.
-
And I was about to download some patches :/
-
Has anyone got an archive of the patches?
