If it wasn't a 142 MB download I might have thought about downloading a single song to see if it is crap or not.

Question @ Paradox:
Can you make a Music Addon and put it on Tremmods, so you can decide if you want some ingame Music or not. I don't knew if this is possible with the modified Quake 3 engine Tremulous uses.

Title: Music Addon
Post by: DiViNiTY on April 08, 2007, 03:12:24 pm
Can someone make a "Music Addon" and put it on the Tremulous Web-Site or on Tremmods (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tremmods)?
So you can download ingame Music if you want some.

I don't knew if this is possible with the modified Quake 3 engine Tremulous 1.1 uses.

Here is the Link to the Music files: 47,51 MB in OGG format, All files
http://uploaded.to/?id=pu8j20

Music files in WAV format (Tremulous 1.1 uses wav) - 96,08 MB
Only the best files: Divinity_44, 46,52,55,56,60,61,74,75,76,78,Unreleased 01

I only listened to the two tracks you posted as the download speed was really low.

All I heard was some looping.  Am I missing something?

40 KB a second... wow thats slow as hell... Next time use mediafire.com that shit pwns at 400 KB a second thats 10 times faster

If you can upload all your songs to mediafire, id download em and listen, cuz i like them, too bad they are WAYYYYY to repetative lol XD

Hey man I appreciate the effort, and it sounds pretty cool actually, but

LET'S GET SOME HARDCORE METAL IN THIS B****!!!!!!
Or at least some pounding techno or something!

Indeed.
Maybe something like Warsow has (Marc A. Pullen, think Quake 2 music)
Playing as an alien means adrenaline, rush, speed, "terror".
Non-vocal speed metal would do just fine :p
Title: what the people want is the loud and screaming guitars
Post by: player1 on April 10, 2007, 06:54:09 pm
exactly
Humans = Metal (Finnish Death Metal, ftw! Swedish Sleaze!!!111!!!)
Aliens = industrial electronica goth glam punk garage dark and screeching or instrumental horror flick music (synthesizers thru marshall amps)
Music should emanate from main structure (reactor/OM) when it is at 100% health
Volume should decrease with structure's health and distance from it

Then the enemy could never hide their base :P
And campers would never move ("They're playing Tool/Korn/Pantera, man. We can't move, now.")

But seriously, which team you choose to be on could influence which music you are listening to. Humans could listen to Metal. Aliens could listen to Punk/Electronica/Industrial/Goth mix. Players listen to music, and game sounds, in clientside interface with game volume and music volume selectable at options menu. Humans get one mix; Aliens a different mix. Rockers v. Mods, anyone?

music in tremulous would suck ass.

unless it's part of the map.  e.g. the intercom message in metro.

i like to hear where shit is at and music just drowns things out.

The thing about good game-music is that it immersifies but doesn't distract.
Listen to the Oblivion, Morrowind(especially the menu song) or Guild Wars soundtrack and you'll know what i mean.

rdizzle, this is why the game as both music and sound effect volume controls.

I recommend Konono No. 1 (http://www.myspace.com/konononr1) for your tremulous games... it's ridiculously appropriate.

i think its nice to necro these kind of threads, so you can compare the new stuff to the old references.

anyways, the music is not so bad as long as its just "for lol" :-)
but when i want to sqeeze my mind with electrical music a bit to not to let me fell asleep, i rather click micromusic.net radio.

thanks for the reminder that i downladed it the other day :-)

i like it that it has some crunchy elements, only i would need some metal riffs to spice it up :-) you know trem is a somewhat heavy metal game  :police:

otherwise its not bad at all! ... oh wait, there is a gutar riff yeah :-) q2-style, cool!

Not too bad. Some parts of some songs are actually really well made.

Keep going!

I really enjoyed some of your stuff. It's such a shame this is the least posted section of the forum, because I reckon there are plenty of people who would post here, if they could cut through the dense layers of cobwebs and mold.

Very dark, industrial, electronic. Some parts remind me of Apoptygma Berzerk or Die Form.
Some songs are a bit too noisy for my taste, but there are certainly parts I can taste.
(Distraction and Hurry come to mind)

all recorded at home in basic conditions. Please give a listen. I do not know when I'll start playing around to live again.Maybe wait until the heat of summer to arrive. TremulousMonk is the result of work by Chris Wilkinson for the summer of 2000. After creating a home studio in York, England, produced a series of EPs, including the popular sublime PE beautiful transparent.
