Hey guys,
I've mentioned Tremulous in a "Next-Gen Linux Game Roundup" article I wrote for my blog... (man I love Trem, heh)
http://linuxrevolution.blogspot.com/2006/03/next-gen-linux-game-roundup.html
A little extra publicity for Trem couldn't hurt...

... and she's just hit the front page of digg... :)
(hopefully we'll get some new Trem players out of this, lol)

Hello,
I found this mod only because of gamegod's article. A little more effort on PR definately wouldn't hurt.
I've installed it and played around a little. This is great work, indeed. I will give the game a try on the next lan-party. So far I have only found one server online which was quite empty (actually, not anybody was playing). Where are all the people? Are there other servers the ingame browser doesn't find? Or is 12 p.m. GMT+1 just a bad time?
plus: When will the standalone version be ready?
-
well everybodys who isnt in the know doesnt know the release date but i think tremulous is going to get released soon i hope *fingers crossed*.
the older version 1.0.2 is good but as time goes on the games will get better unless the project falls apart and one day it will i asure you.
any way im in australia and 12pm in whereever you live is like 8.30 here in adelaide and im going to school at that time so i wont be able to play at that time sorry
-
For anyone still in doubt, trust me - When the standalone comes out and there are actually people playing Trem again, you'll realize what a kickass game it is. :)
-
i frequent www.Megagames.com often and havent seen tremulous
i sent a email to the person incharge of the freeware review section and pointed them towards tremulous.
-
I got Tremulous because of a topic in my distro's forum (Ubuntu).
One of the mods already suggested he could run a server for all Ubuntians :P (Everyone is invited ofcourse :D )
I'll try to advertise this game as much as i can because i REALLY love it.
It's the first game (to me anyway) that really combines tactic with skill with pure fun!
-
i tried tremulous because shafe recommended it....thanks shafe!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if the guys in charge of promoting this game find the time, I have a list of a few places you might try to pimp it out at.
www.gamehippo.com www.acid-play.com http://play-free-online-games.com/index.html
http://www.onrpg.com/
i bet some of the guys in charge could come up with alot more sites to advertise this game to get more players/servers.
-
Well, I don't know if all the maps are well balanced, but it is good to see some publicity.
Don't forget Nexuiz!!!

The station is called "Giga Games":

ioquake3 (http://www.icculus.org/quake3/) has the Tremulous 1.1.0 release up as their latest news item right now.
That's how I found you guys. I've been playing a little bit (you might have seen me doddering about on tjw's server). I've been reading the posts and trying to get better. There's tons of good tips in the forums.
