Doesn't really make a difference since 70% of the time you will be armored and since you don't see your character (you only see your gun).

I would like different cultures joining in the fight against the aliens. Perhaps players could replace the logo in the marine's clothes with a choice of set designs, custon text, or a custom image.

Actually, the humans are all clones of the guy from the backstory, sent by the corporation to defeat the aliens. His personal hell is to die repeatedly as new clones are constantly teleported to the battlefield, clones which are manipulated by the telepresence of distant operators (usually in horrific, shambling fashion). His consciousness is never allowed to die, but continually recreated in the clones.

And speaking of female models, didn't vcxzet already post screenies of imported Q3a mod models (like Lara Croft). If he could import the Giant Eyeball, perhaps someone could import Major or the female Doom trooper from Q3a. Seems easier than making a whole new one. Change the uniform skin color to olive drab for the Doom woman. Lara Croft/Major head without helmet, female Doom trooper head with helmet. Female Doom trooper body, movements, animations, etc., except olive drab uniform skin, not scifi bright colors. Bride of CloneMarineStein: Lara's head on the Doomgal body.

Thematically, she's a woman who: stowed aboard the original ship/went out to space looking for him/is a goverment agent looking into Company blackops activity/is the last survivor of one of the original Alien attacks/lost her whole family when the Aliens invaded the Transit station.

THIS WORKS U KNOW WHY? CUZ EVERY1 IS THE SAME... For ALIENS it could be a WHITE COLOURED BLOCK!!! YEAH :D

And The blocks SLIDE on the ground... Oh and all it is, is just a bounding box, no model... so the model becomes a black / white block! WIN! Then no1 will complain, and a gun fits in good, just put it on the top of the bounding box!

How this work? Easy, a system which allows you to choose colors for all your models... and also faces / body / feet / arms and that stuff... might b complex to do tho

For aliens, to have any color changes would not work since it'd be hard to tell normal aliens from advanced aliens.

If it was a simple marking, like a tribal tatoo that you could customise, that'd be cool.

To have the model itself have a different skin would require advanced species to have more unique models. Something like: 3 tails on +basi, horns on +mara, 3-5 spikes sticking out of the back of +goon (Porcupine style).

Pick a uniform color, we got Hunter (Dark Green), Slate (Light gray), Brown, Charcoal (Dark Dray), and White.
Pick a gender.
Pick a face style.

Possible Aliens options:
Pick a symbol/glyph.
Pick a color.

I also hope that players don't push for sexually explicit models/skins to be packaged with trem. Female representation would be good, but the main reason is often sexual fulfillment by males. Please, that's just lame. Get a real girl for that on a real relationship.

Once my exams are over in a week or so, I'll work on a female model. But expect no cleavage or miniskirts.

if Trem used to be all Sarges
couldn't a modeller just grab Major
and make similar sensible alterations?
anyway silly suggestions occur to me sometimes...

and yeah I don't need UT-style multiple skins
and weakass taunts
save that crap for Unreal

I love this idea because it is much much much much easier to recognize faces, rather than reading the names from person to person. Aliens will be like OSHI when they see my face. Plus, aliens get to figure out which players are capable of killing them or not.

As for the bad pictures... I'm afraid we'll have to leave that to the admins.
