Title: Introducing Zirra, The Zilla Extension Team
Post by: Smokey on April 01, 2007, 04:12:16 am
Zirra is now open for recruiting!

Leader: Dracone

Basic things you need to join,
-A Mic and teamspeak really help
-Some sort of skill
-The ability to read/spell in ENGLISH.
-It's awsome if you live in the US or Canada.

The goal of this clan is to have a team of decently developed players get even better. Members of Zirra are top candidates for Zilla. They will also learn teamwork and strategy from ...you guessed it, Zilla!

Anyways, Contact Me, Blazeraid or Dracone if you want to join.

Also, Thanks for the name idea, Yarou.

Dracone is good enough, and still is in zilla, he just said he would lead Zirra.

For once, you made me lewl.

Granted, it's Yarou's name idea, but still...the fact that you adopted it is damn funny.

This is a lot like Junior clans in Runescape, but I'm not sure how high the interest level is in joining clans in Tremulous, must less a trainee clan, but good luck with it.

Well, when you're being trained by the best clan in tremulous, interest is high.

Yeah, we're particularly looking for peeps with teh basic understanding. Basically anyone can join. Always been those people who walk up to Smokey and ASK to be in Zilla. You do that now, you get referred to Zirra, where you learn the stuffs you need, improve on it, and get good until you can, if you've worked hard, move up to Zilla.

Zirra is, in many ways, a seperate clan, and, as such, we have our own matches. Zirra people in Zirra matches, Zilla people in Zilla matches. I'll be setting up most of the Zirra matches, but Smokey, Blaze and others will also do that from time to time.

So far, we have 3 members I believe. Need some people to make that number bigger. Like Smokey said, ask him, Blazeraid, or me. I'm on often, hanging around Zilla Server most of the time, but sometimes others.

@Equilibrium: Wouldn't have a leader that didn't know how to play in Zilla teaching people how to be in Zilla, m'Iright?
@Noob plox: This isn't so much training as in practice days and stuff, but REAL matches. We'll have actual scrims and stuff and practice through that, improving teamspeak communication skills, knowing proper binds, and other such teamwork things.

Lol yeah, run the bastard through with a bastard sword. And deprive him of cookies.

Anyhow...I have some, hmmmm, requirements, so to speak.

You do not need Teamspeak asap, but without it, I will not let you participate in our matches. It's pretty much the most essential communication thing you need, and you need to get used to it. Binds ARE important as well though.

Also, you need just a basic understanding of the game, but you do need skill. Don't even ask to be in Zirra unless we've met in game, because that pretty much amounts to nothing. You give me any stats at all and I'll just tell you to go away, because stats won't impress me. I need opinions from respected players and I'll always need to see you play, even if a little bit. Even then, it depends on what I see from you compared to who you're facing and what not.

One more thing, and this may hurt some of you, but I'm sorry. I can't have people from Europe in the clan.    I've seen what happens with times, and for me, GMT is 5 hours ahead, and it is a total pain. My schedule permits me to have any matches we'll have at about Midnight or later for you, most likely later. I'm sorry, but it just gets too difficult, and my schedule doesn't permit the timing.

So, as a quick summary of requirements:

--- Need Teamspeak to do matches/scrims, but not to simply be in the clan.
--- I need to see you at least once in game, and need good opinions from other respected players. I'll be judging you're teamwork, individual skill, everything, ESPECIALLY ATTITUDE!
--- No Euro Players (I have nothing against Europeans, I'm not a jackass. I just can't deal with the times.)
--- Some competitive spirit. I want at least a couple people to actually bug me for clan matches.

I haven't decided on co-leaders yet. I'm going to recruit some more. We're apparently getting a lot of requests, which must be the association of Zirra with Zilla, because I KNOW I'm not known by many people.

It lets you use a mic, if you set it up right...

Settings > Options > OutPut / Input

Select Mic, and you're set!

Well then, what would I do to have it unlock the mic when ts is running under aoss?

Hehe, the color change in my last post doesn't work so well under the topic review when you post a new post. :D
