If not it turns out totally lame from being changed in process.

Think about the human defenses against a tyrant. You have a wall of structures the size of a watermellon that pump it full of LEAD BULLETS!

The bullets are not made of lead, and teslas are electrical arcs.
But yes, good point. To the aliens acid sprays muyst be entirely normal.

Okay, i'm still doodling for ideas here.. This one came upon me as i was pondering the bizarreness of tremulous/other games and the way players behave. Imagine this: You are nervously taking your path through a huge, abandonded facility, when suddenly you get charged upon and trampled by some huge alien. As you lay there broken and bleeding, you summon the strenght to draw a breath and utter:
