Any errors appear? You can ask Shadowgandor.. he had teh same kind of error if i'm right.

Also, if you're using windows xp check if you have the right GTK+ version.

gtk+ is a GUI (graphical user interface) library, which some programs (gimp, gtkradiant, etc.) use for drawing GUI (they don't use that standard windows GUI as they weren't written only for windows, but for many platforms, and gtk+ is available for many platforms). So you need this library if you want to run such programs.

Don't know if the gtkradiant's windows installer provides also the gtk+ library or if the library has to be installed separately. Nevertheless, as NiTRoX said, you should check wich version of gtk+ is required and make sure that you have it installed.

I have the same problem I fallowed the sticky guide exactly. Got it to show me tremulous in the drop down games.

I run it and choose tremulous from the drop down menu and continue, and it gives me gtkradiant.exe has encountered an unknown problem and must shutdown and if i want to send error report or not.

I run xp also. Hope someone has a fix for this.

Well, I don't really have any idea what's wrong with you guys, but Radiant 1.5 runs like a charm on my Windows XP instatll, so I don't think there is anything to 'fix'. Maybe you could double-check your work to make sure you did it correctly.

+1

Try reinstalling, or asking someone with GTK to send you their folders with all the files installed in the right place, if that doesn't work then it just hates you.

He hasn't released anything yet, so I guess that kind of answers your question...  :roll:

Same problem with crashing/send report error message after clicking OK. I installed the 2007-04-26 build of GtkRadiant-1.5.0 in my Windows XP MCE 2005 partition (rather than work with rpm and alien). I have Gtk+-2.10.6-1 already installed from GIMP's website. I've tried the setup process twice in case I messed up the first. I did custom edit the path to Tremulous.

Download another version (http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/files/radiant/nightly/1.5/GtkRadiant-1.5.0-2006-12-16.msi)--> Works.

GtkRadiant installer contains the files needed. There's no need to install the separate Gtk+ package. And the files bundled with GtkRadiant were tested to ensure they work with the program. Using newer/older versions can break Radiant's interface. Btw, they updated those files before the version 1.5 final.

Thank you. That has worked the best so far.

I cannot find the Tremulous game support option listed like the others offered. I tried a complete installation and the program did seem to open correctly. If this build was before Tremulous was supported how should I proceed to get it supported?

theman2, what error message do yo get if any? I think I remember something like this happening to me before. If it says it can't find tremulous or something like that than browse the location and insert it where it asks.

Use this version! http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/files/radiant/GtkRadiant-1.5.0.msi
It is the "final" release (for now).  It should have those bugs fixed.  And yes, that 2006-12-16 build is before Tremulous support.

Tried the version LinuxManMikeC linked to today and it died with the same error messages I started with.
