Title: Requesting ban of Time Traveler ([T] Base)
Post by: Telfnah on April 30, 2007, 09:58:28 pm: This guys has been abusing the disconnect/reconnect feature to avoid votekicking, votemuting and even getting killed. He is careful not to do this when there are admins, but he is quite loud mouthed about it the rest of the time, and the logs will reveal stuff like:
Time Traveler disconnected
vote passed
Time Traveler connected

I appeal to the admins of [T] Base and any other server (especially those where you can avoid votes by disconnecting) that you ban him.

I'd appreciate if other people who experienced him will post here and confirm.

Time Traveler Kitty, lmaer, n00b. random names, easely spotted by his disconnect/connect messages. Also builds to annoy, as in putting a node infront of alien entrances. All not that annoying, accept that due to reconnecting he is unkickable. I havent seen him on tonight though, maybe this has been dealed with. Still, when [T]Base twins can recover his IP, I wouldn't mind a subnet ban for this.

instead of making random comments about when something was fixed, why don't you actually find out if and when a bug was fixed? especially when i put the link right there.

I understand why my time traveling ability might be a bit annoying to mortals.

Although I would like to remind you that jumping to other time line to avoid a ban sometimes is really needed.

For instance really often people vote YES for no matter what reason.

Example votes which DID passed, reasons:
“stop cheating”
“lol why not”
Player time traveler called a vote; kick player foobar for: "time traveling"
"he slept with my sister" (ok, this one didnt passed actually)
"ban him already”
"kick him!!!"
"press F1 for more ammunition"
"press F1 to recive free granger" (this failed for some reason)
kick player foobar for: “*** BAN timetraveler for 1.0 day ***” (idiot voters, *g*)
...all issued at random people.

This seems like a bigger issue.

Btw, Telfnah - Im not "being careful when admins are around" - today I called vote kick on admin reason "lame admin, cant ban people", unfortunately only 30% people voted yes.

In addition I would recommend using OpenPGP keys and/or some generated-on-install number stored on computer – this did proved very usefully in other timeline, I hope it will be as good in this one.

Hello my friend,

Well actually I do live in Europa, so technically one might say I _do_ live in USA.

But most people will agree that after being colonized in 2013 we managed to keep separate culture. Even now days Euroxas state is the only one where we don't use "do not wash cat in microwave" and similar warning labels.
