Hi, all trem players
i got a BIG issue...
i have "linux" so that makes it even bigger
to open my console i used to use Alt Gr + =
but my Alt Gr doesn't works anymore
the button is not broke but i think my linux sees it as a "dead button"
i tried to change autogen.cfg delete it (it always get's back in my folder when i start trem)
and type the command
./tremulous.x86 +bind p toggleconsole in my linux console
nothing helps
can someone plz help me on this
my conosle is very important when ppl say a long sentance i can't open conosle to see what he actually said
i can't bind annymore
and i always have to change my name manually when i start trem
(i used to be in Spikers but now it merged to BoT so my name is still the spikers one)
this is driving me crazy
i hope some can help
i already thank you

to open the console use altgr and "~"
rebinding the key for console does not really work well, as you noticed .)
eeeum as i said my Alt gr doesn't works
and = is the the same button as ~
i just need to know how to get my alt gr to work or how to change the console key
nvm my bro got home and got it finnaly fixed (after 2 months)
it took him 30 sec -_- -_- -_- and again -_-
To make this thread potentially helpful to others:
Could you please explain how your brother solved it ?

I'd like to know this too because I have the same problem. BTW Why doesn't rebinding work? I tried to rebind it by editing autogen.cfg
in all the games I've ever played, rebinding tilde was always advised against
I don't know why, so it's just anecdotal, but I'd say the console probably isn't a great key to be rebinding (too many things depend on it that you don't know about, and you didn't change them all)
The console is so important that its key is hard coded in.
You can probably change it with relative ease f you recompile.
I found out how to bring up console and I thought it would be useful to post it here.
I first changed my keyboard layout to english/american. Then after starting trem I just pressed _shift_ + tilde.
