Seriously, Cant we do something about this guy? This LLJK Clan is insane, it completely destroys the gameplay. Everyone knows about NesterHolland, but has anyone ever DONE anything about it?

Play on servers where he is banned perhaps? Try AKKA and tjw. Many other servers don't have any active admins unfortunately.

things are bieng discussed and thought of on dealing with greifers and nexter in particular...a little paitience wouldnt hurt..not that i am experienced with any coding but i know it takes time to write something out and then to test it etc.. there are a few out there working on fixes and security measures.
the beergarden for example has as far as i know worked out the kinks in the kick "all" error so that will no longer effect everyone..
and i know akka server has some stuff for greifers going on..
but honestly there too much people talking about nexter and bringing him up like its something new..well its not..we all know who he is what he does etc.
we all know that he ruins games etc..
but we will get him......get him good :evil:

I just say ban his entire IP block. :P When you're playing online, you are not only representing yourself, but others in your country.
Also, please note that Nexter DOES use the LLJK tag, but it is either false or he is giving a bad name for the rest of the LLJK guys.
Of course, since the LLJK guys don't give a rat's ass about the use of their tag (clan or forum community), I would probably vote YES if you wanted to ban all those guys too. Sorry, but if you don't take an interest in the use of your own tag, then you don't deserve to play, IMHO.

for some odd reason he really has a grudge on me. every time he logs in and joins a team he calls a vote to kick me and he does this every time. and when i talk he says "shut up faggot"

well from what ive seen admining on beergarden i dont think it will be so much possible... diff ip with diff block ranges.. i think nexter is not a single person but either diff pc's or diff people..
i mean if it was a simple ip block dont u think we would have blocked it by now??? :-?

It's about time we bring down Nester, or in this case, the ARMY of Nesters. It is proven though, that there are more than 1, more particularily, the one that plays on the MouseSports server. There used to be 2 of them, and its getting rediculous.

[LLJK] ppl arent all that bad, they are from a forum community methinks. The actions of a few should not reflect the actions of the entire LLJK community. Most are fairly cool and I have played many games with them.

Hmm. I do have to say, though, that a rather large percentage of goons are griefers. The [LLJK] tag is a big hint to watch such teammates carefully.

I've seen "perfectly" fine LLJK turn around and start doing obvious dumb things. So this "community" I think are NS-advocates and they just want to play Trem to try and destroy any fun we could have.

Look up LLJK on google or urban dictionary.
Several tremulous devs and server admins are part of the SA community which has over 70,000 members, and tremulous is actively recruiting from and being discussed in the games forum there. A LOT of tremulous players like myself are from there but dont use LLJK in our names.
When nexter reads these forums and sees you mouthing off with "Ban teh LLJK clan!" you become the punchline to his sad little joke, while the rest of us regular folk cringe.
Just play on AKKA. R1CH knows his stuff and the server usually has active admins which means zero griefers.
Or should we ban the AKKA server because it's OMGLLJK too? :roll:

Actually the name comes from the very lousy nes beat em up game "Renegade", I liked the name when I was a kid and I've used it in various games ever since, the only person who ever got the reference was in the FYAD forum, then I was promptly to GTFO because I was being a faggot, but who cares about that?

LLJK stands for "Leet Liek Jeff K."
It's not a clan, we just use to make it easy to tell a fellow goon ingame. It's only used like a clan tag.
Putting *lljk* in a player search will find you fellow goons to play with on most games.
This is a community of about 70,000 registered users. There's probably an even larger number of people who just lurk and are not registered. The majority of LLJK people don't even know one another. All they know is that they enjoy similar types of humor and games, and they get that from seeing each other's tags. Not all goons use tags, that's to avoid the negativity that others get when using them. If you are on a 20 person server and you see 4 guys with [LLJK], chances are there's 2-3 more playing as well who just happen to not use those tags.
The reason why there's so many goons, as another just said, is because the creators of this game are also goons and advertised it.

He got on trem the other day, and tried to decon the whole alien base (he was using the name LLJ no k) before he could decon 2 eggs, i had kicked him. He didnt come back.

Being of the "LLJK clan"(aka Something Awful, a forum as described above) I'd like to stick up for us, if I may. True, there are several assholes who use that tag, wether they're actually part of our community, I don't know. But I do know, that most of us are no more pleased with them than you are. But unfortunately, theres only so much we can do against them. But what you people can do, is not discrimate against the rest of us. I for one, hate those assholes, and do not approve of their behavior. I make a point to not be an ass on Trem; I don't cheat; and I try to cooporate with the administrative community.
As for those of you disbaraging SA, get your facts straight. Its certainly one of the most intelligent internet communities out there, a little warped though it may be :). In fact, acting like an idiot on the forums, gets you an instant banning. Now, there are some assholes, a fair amount actually, but there's only so much anyone can do about them. On SA, if they get out of hand, they're dealt with. But I'd say there are no more assholes on SA, than the rest of the internet, just less idiots.
There's just not currently much to be done about limiting the use of a tag, unfoturnately.
Note: I'm relatively new to SA, though I've many friends who are more senior members. If any senior goons want to add or modify what I've said, please do so. I'm just trying to stick up for us goons :).

I could give ya the link, but theres a fee to join, and theyll ban you in a heartbeat for pulling shit. Even so, for all we know he may not even be a member, just some jackass with our tag, out to give us a bad name.

Hey, I'm from SA as well. [LLJK]nexterholland is certainly a griefer and a troll; however, he's not actually the nexterholland of SA. Nexterholland is a frequent contributor to the anime forum at SA, I believe, and also plays an MMO in Second Life. Second Life has been fraught with drama, and I think that's why this guy is shitting up servers. Stupid shit with a stupid reason.
As to banning all LLJK people, that's pretty ridiculous. You can put any tag you want in your name, no one has any control over that. SA is a very inviting, large community, which anyone can be a part of - but the number one rule there is: don't be a dick. I'm sorry that this one guy is using the tag , but we have no control over it, and on the whole, we're pretty chill guys and gals to hang out and play with.

I just would ban people on a per offense basis. I think admins shouldn't use an ALL ban tag, because there could be a user called Nexterholland killer, and he would be banned for having a similar name.
My pilosiphy is they connect and reoffend, ban them. If they have the guts to go somewhere else, connect and use a different name, ban that one. Eventually they will be gone forever.

At the end of the day, any large group of people are going to have the odd bad egg among them, or simply morons using the tag to cause trouble for us. There isnt a lot we can do about it - its not as though we can stop them.
Its not like LLJK is a dedicated raging/cheating "clan" like myg0t - its just an identifier of SA goons.
Stick with a standard ban on offence system, its the only one that makes sense.

ya know what would be really nice... a way to vote in a 15min ban. Maybe require 60% agreement, but it would help in servers without active admins.

I have yet to play with an LLJK tagged member that wasn't a griefer, but that doesn't mean there aren't any that are good players. MANY times I've been tempted to launch a kick vote as soon as an LLJK member joined, but I've held back. We got deconned everytime one joined, but the player at least deserves a chance.
Banning a whole range of IP numbers is not the way to go. If some asshat decided to be a griefer and got my range of IP #s banned, I'd hunt him down like a dog... One of my coworkers plays Trem and LOVES causing problems (he likes using the names of people on the server). Yeah, I've seen him do it, and it's quite funny (when I'm not in the game that is getting pissed off). Thankfully, he is on Time Warner (adelphia here). Where was I going with this... oh yeah, bans don't work for those guys, because everytime he reboots the modem, new IP. Yeah, lame.

u guys should know u make it more difficult for us admins. u demand from us and dont give us reason or proof...

Had this wonko guy on one of our servers a few weeks ago. Having read forum posts about him alarm bells rang... but nothing happenend.
He was no good player but not offending in any way, either. If he is a griefer he does his evil work only with no admins around. IP bans won't work and you cannot even prove it is the same person.

I think he must have that bound to a key... The two times I've run into him (I usually only play on BG, AKKA, or TJW) he's spammed that almost constantly.
