Title: I can't spawn!!

Whenever I try to spawn on any server I get an error saying I can't build or something...any ideas?

2 problems...
1) you're playing on a server with sv_pure 0
2) you have bad vms in base.

ok so yea the problem is fixed when I remove the backport vms in my base folder...is there any way to fix this and keep my backport client?

my option menu doesn't work now...what usually causes this?

servers dump mods into your base folder which f*** you up on normal servers.

To figure out if this is it, then go into your base folder, and add a few Z's befe  the file name on the VMS and Data-1.1.0 file.

This will make it load those instead of any mods.

That's not a good idea - pure servers may no longer accept your data/vms pk3s because they have the wrong name (and are therefore not on the pure list). It may work, if the pure check doesn't use the name (I haven't bothered to check tbh), but if you find yourself crashing as soon as you enter a pure server that's probably the reason why.

normal servers should be sv_pure 1, setting sv_pure 0 is about the same as saying "HEY COME CHEAT ON THIS SERVER"

I didn't mean for them to keep it like that, I was saying do that to figure out if thats your problem. I just forgot to mention to change it back :P
