Title: Demo video of a random generated map.
Post by: DarkWolf on May 26, 2007, 07:51:51 pm
Hi.

There was a thread about a program which random generated a map, that was developed by a small group of people.

This video shows some of a generated map, as well as hopping around the trees, though that is hard :P  :) .

EDIT: Map file: http://rapidshare.com/files/33586158/thethird.pk3.html

a demo is useless without the map that the demo was produced on (and game.qvm and cgame.qvm that it was produced with, but the stock ones are usually close enough)

The maps are random generated, so that wont have much use :).

you have the pk3 in your mod folder don't you? maybe i didn't make myself clear enough: it's impossible to play a demo without the map it was created on, demos record only the communication between the server and client, in order to be able to reproduce the same game they need all things the server and client had when the demo was recorded.

I could actually use a bsp map generator for a project I'm thinking of starting. There are a couple out there. I guess the trick is adapting to your content and qvms.
