hey all,

i made a small map

now TRaK told me to compile my map whit q3map2toolz

but from what i know it's a -_-windows-_- program

he also said i could compile it manually whit my gtkradiant (1.5)

but my question now is:

How i compile my map on linux?

and how i play my map on tremulous after i compiled it

i hope someone can help me

Use the compile options in the build menu of GtkRadiant. q3map2 is included in Ingar's packages.

kk i did that now i have a bsp called first.bsp

i place it in my base/maps folder

i start tremx (cause i have problems making non dedicted servers whit the regular tremulous)

i do /devmap first.bsp

i get the load screen

but after 60%

i get this message

RE_LoadWorldMap :maps/first.bsp not found

???

That is probably because you have downloaded a vms.pk3 that some idiot server admin put on their server to get a modded game.qvm working (this is the wrong way to do it admins!!!).  Just delete that file, and never join a server that tries to give you a vms.pk3 file.  Just press Esc to cancel the download and leave the server.  Do this and you will never see this problem again.

Note: There can be variations of the vms.pk3 file name.  Perhaps a version number, or the name of the server, or whatever.  If it is clearly a "vms" (virtual machines) pk3 being downloaded into your base folder, then you don't want it, and don't need it.
