This is now called paradox's mod, and contains quite a bit else. If you want just the particle scripts, the original is still avalible in the downloads directory.

This will be included in the next release of Paradox's mod (formerly radar and teamoverlay mod)

This is now hosted at Google code (http://code.google.com/p/paradoxsmod/). I also will be updating an SVN repository (http://paradoxsmod.googlecode.com/svn/trunk) with all the new changes so I don't have to do numerical versions so much, and now i can have multiple collaborators on the project. I was getting tired of changing one line in the script and having to upload the whole pk3, so now big updates will only come in a great while, and smaller ones will come whenever.

Grenade explosions that don't simultaneously blow and suck?  YAY!!

Oh, and any reason you have it catagorized as a tutorial?

Aside from obvious issues of 'Realistic' + alien game....

This doesn't look realistic at all, the looks go with the effect better, but it's still not realistic. Have the luci shoot an impact rocket and it would be more realistic.

If I were to use this mod, I'd edit it (with permission?) to make the grenade explosion less.. white.. I'd add the crazylcannon particles to the lucifer. Just some suggestions. >_>

Those rifle shells are pretty ugly and out of place. Aside from that, good work :).

The rifle shells were an accident, but they look funny.
If you want me to, ill remove them.

Anyone can edit it, it is just a few particle hacks and hue shifts.

I was actually going to post on how to do this by yourself, but it took too long, so i just uploaded it. I have moved the topic.

I am going to see if i can change every particle effect to be, well, bigger.

Nice work. The grenade explosion is great.

I like some of the changes to the luci effects (explosion radius = damage radius), but I don't personally like the extra halos on the luci projectile before impact; it's hard enough to see what you're shooting at without your shots taking up the whole screen. And of course the explosion of rifle shells is ridiculous. I also noticed that the shots coming from secondary-fire (mouse2), haven't been changed at all.

I fixed a few things, now secondary is a smaller orb of death, but still an orb of death.

In the current one i have, i have raised the bounce for the fallout particles, and set them back to their normal ones, except blue. They also now leave a mark on the ground, and in my tests (sst with 24 lucispammers), fps wasnt affected too badly.
