1. All allies and friendly buildings should show up on radar for both teams. For example, for aliens, a green dot to represent a teammate would let a goon know it's not safe to pounce around the corner and end up TK'ing them.
2. For building defenses, it would be nice to have a translucent 3D representation of the range of defensive buildings included in the blueprint. For example, when you are placing a turret, the edges of a translucent blue sphere is visible around you to show where the edge of its firing range is. This would allow for much more precise and effective building.
I have no idea how hard either of these ideas would be to implement, but they both seem like things that have potential to very much improve gameplay.
For the radar there are various patches around.
As for ranges, I would LOVE to see that.
Especially a cone for the trapper.
Maybe it could be a sami-transparent wire frame sphere with solid lines where it intersects stuff.
Would need to be obvious yet non intrusive so would probably need tweaking.

So, don't get me wrong: Implemented in a new offical realease it would be ok.
Although it isn't malicious, he's right. It does give an advantage over players without it.
Then again, by definition, binds could also be considered cheating.

It requires cracking of the pure system, and is cheating.
I was just pointing out that the work has already been done.
Aliens do need friendlies on there radar. It sucks thinking my path is clear but a basi runs out into my tramble. Really sucks if retribution is on.

it looks like friendly damage is getting removed from trample and pounce.
Both of these ideas were submitted by me almost half a year ago.

What I meant by that was this: The game was released almost a year and a half ago. These ideas are pretty much done to death now.
