Title: [Request] COM Granger Skin
Post by: TinMan on July 05, 2007, 04:38:58 am
Does anyone have the texture used for this, or was it just a red granger with the hammer and sickle edited in?

Yeah, I saw a red skin that he probably made.
I really like the hammer and sickle on this one.

Then do it for me? I already have the red skin, my hammers just never turn out like that.

Re-made from scratch:

Download a .psd (http://tangelo.quickshareit.com/share/sovietgrangerskin2b326.psd)

EDIT: Obviously, it's not the same as the original, but it's close enough. Feel free to fiddle with the psd if you wish. Everything's in layers, should make it easy enough.

EDIT #2: By the way, I didn't do a hue shift. I made a layer, filled it with red, set the layer's mode to overlay, and dropped the transparency a bit. Doing a hue shift on the original didn't make it red enough. The hammer-and-sickle is taken from the Wikipedia article of the same name.

The original, hijacked from Ingar's zomg pk3 (btw, Ingar, you credited me in the readme as benchmachine >_>)

Wow benmachine, this (http://www.bandstand.org.uk/~benm/) is an odd way to keep IRC logs.

It lacks the formatting it would most likely have if it was documented in RTF format.

Any other good stuff in Ingar's zomg pk3? Have a copy of it anywhere?

keep out of my directories ¬_¬
that's just a temporary upload I did so someone could have a look.

... and it's already gone :)
I do indeed have a copy of the pk3, but it's only an aggregation of other released works (my lovely weapons mod and a turret's aero flamer). I can makeit available for download if you like, but it hardly seems worth it.

Even better, set proper permissions to keep me out of your directories. :P
