Question: What is the result of having l33t statuses on the forum?
Option 1: It gives members something to bitch about. votes: 7
Option 2: Everyone becomes loyal to his/her superior. votes: 1
Option 3: More messages that have been cared for (people think about what they post). votes: 0
Option 4: Lots of useless posts (people post the first thing that knocks their mind up). votes: 10
Option 5: A better community and more and more posts in overall. votes: 1

The user l33t status and the user post count are somehow like ranks. They may have expected effects, but are they really good for anything?

@OP: post-count status is a feature of many website, especially gamer forums; they have little or no real meaning, other than to give those with lower post counts a feeling of inferiority (if they are that easily humbled), and incentive to spam more
