I have this msg on few server(including mine) and i cant play them:( the same with human team but there is other msg(sth with surface) Can somone pls help me?

don't play on unpure servers.

If you could leave the alien team before the timer expired you could just rejoin and keep building.
In fact I think Garoth did that once on }MG{ South...

I think I know what his real problem is, but unfortunately not the exact cause. This discussion might go better under troubleshooting at this point, but here goes:
Not too long ago I had the same problem with trem.tjw.org: You join the sever and click to get the menu to join a team. But instead of being presented with the menu, you get an error about the build timer. While doing /team aliens worked, the game was still unplayable because of other random errors popping up. The human side did have some other errror message that was completely out of context as well.
However, I joined trem.tjw.org yesterday and all was fine. So my completely unfounded guess would be that either something went wrong backporting the server which is now corrected, or there was something weird happening on my end which just so happened to rectify itself without my changing anything - or something else entirely.
Just thought I'd post this to hopefully clarify the OP's issue. Maybe it would help if he specified where he got his server from and if it also happens with the stock server (which I doubt).

you're almost right, there was nothing wrong with the server, but there seems to be a bug when you switch servers that are using the same fs_game that causes the wrong vms to be loaded for one game, since tjw's no longer uses fs_game = base, you wouldn't have the issue. the "bug" is a missaligned menu enum, and the easiest way to fix it is to not play on servers with sv_pure 0 (and since pretty much all servers with sv_pure 0 are lame, it has the side effect of avoiding lame servers) that cause those vms to be loaded in the first place.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I don't recall what I was doing before that, but I usually ever only play on one or two servers, which are definitely pure. It also continued to happen even after I quit and restarted tremulous (if that would have any relevancy to the issue).
But anyway, it probably doesn't matter much at this point.

From what kevlarman is saying, it sounds as if it shouldn't matter that your server is pure if you had previously gone to a server that wasn't (and the other criteria, but let's stick to the main issue).
But I found it odd when I had the issue that it persisted even after I restarted Tremulous. It would help if you could be more precise with your explanation and if you can rule out the sv_pure issue with other servers or not.

Make sure both your client and server don't have any extra vm in base.

when it's your own server you need to clean out your base folder of any vms, since they will get loaded, when you're on another server having sv_pure enabled should keep the offending vms from getting loaded. (which is why it's a good idea to always run a server on a clean trem install instead of with your client)

no that won't help, they will both end up using the same base folder, you need to change your server's fs_homepath to something other than the default, or just don't run a server on the same computer you use for a client (unless you have a really amazing connection, your server sucks anyway)

I hav this problem just use the Console Command of, er, Ive forgotten it.
its like:
/spawn human
or summin, could someone else post what exactly it is?
