Title: Where are demos saved?
Post by: Bullislander05 on August 10, 2007, 03:54:06 pm
Hey guys, I am posting this from a Windows XP computer, and I am wondering where demos are saved on default on my computer.  I recently solved Benmachine's engineering thread, but I can't find the demo to show him...

I'm used to a Vista computer, where I can easily search for dm_69 and the search is done within 5 seconds and I have my file.

Thanks,
-Bull

[*Edit*] I found it, eventually.  The files were in a hidden folder, so I had to search my computer.  But once I found the files I created a shortcut to the folder and put the shortcut on my desktop.  It would be helpful if anyone else knew how to access it without the need to search your computer to post it and let some other people learn.  =)

if they're in a hidden folder, you have an outdated client. they should be in C:\documents and settings\yourusernamehere\application data\tremulous\modfoldergoeshere\demos (add local settings in there for outdated clients, local settings is hidden)

lol, the whole five second search is from mac os X
so is the dock at the bottom, although it looks more like linux
just about every new feature was copied from another os
