Title: Installing Trem on amd_64 ubuntu
Post by: Vector_Matt on August 15, 2007, 03:58:58 pm
While trying to install tremulous I get the "The setup program seems to have failed on amd64/glibc-2.0" error.
This (http://tremulous.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=42442&sid=97961942897fe22ce469818b45a58fc9) topic which says I need the 32bit libraries to install trem, but it fails to mention the specific libraries. Can someone tell me what libraries I'll need?

Also, when using the add/remove software thing to get tremulous, it seems to install fine, but when I try to run it I am dumped back to the login screen.

The strange thing is, I got trem to install and run fine on a fresh ubuntu install, but when I upgraded to a larger hdd and reinstalled ubuntu these problems showed up.

Thanks for the help.

Edit: I think I know what the problem is, I forgot to install the driver for my graphics card. I'll install that and update this post with the results.

Thanks for the information.

And the reason the add/remove programs one didn't run was the driver.

I'll try to get a 64bit one compiled. At the very least it might help me get used to compiling things.
