If you don't know how, you're not supposed to do it.

A guid comes with any non-official client.

You installed Ubuntu... nice. But why?
So you could compile the qvm?

While it has some nice gui and don't demand anything from the user, you'll have to meet some higher expectations when you want to compile something.

Best start out by reading the manual that comes with Ubuntu. And if you do not know what manual I am talking about, delete Ubuntu ASAP.
