- I think a "Hud Catalog" should not contain reviews of the Huds, or it should have been called "Hud Reviews" instead; it also may influence user's opinion about the Huds, even if only the reviewer has the expressed opinions.
- My Hud is not meant for a complete "creative and original" rework of the default Hud, but for an improvement of the original 1.1.0 Hud. A complete rework of it is being made by Jex for the next Trem version afaik, and I don't want to lose my time competing with him.

SO LET ME GET THIS STR8. YOU WANT YOUR OPINION TO BE HEARD, SO THAT THE OP WILL CHANGE THE WAY THIS THREAD WORKS, BUT YOUR OPINION INVOLVES THE OP TAKING HIS OPINIONS OUT OF HIS THREAD. LOL AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO
DO NOT GET
ALSO:
QUOTE OF THE BRINGER OF PLAGUES
Reviews focus on creativity and originality. Just because you got a low grade from me doesn't mean your HUD is crap. END QUOOT
I BELIEVE, YOU SIR, JUST GOT OWNED BY A PERSON WHO REFUSES TO TURN CAPSLOCK OFF. HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL?

Someone who says: "I will tell you about that, but please don't tell it for anyone else; keep it secret!" should not really expect to have its secret securely kept. The same for saying "Just because you got a low grade from me doesn't mean your HUD is crap" it will of course change people's mind, that is the result of any review.
"your opinion involves the op taking his opinions out of his thread" (no caps here)
No, he could create a separate topic for reviews, maybe including both author's/editor's/user's reviews of each Hud; this would be nice enough. I'm not forcing anyone to do something.

1. YOUR EXAMPLE IS AN EXAMPLE OF CHILDREN IN GRADESCHOOL. THAT SHOWS JUST HOW ELEMENTARY YOUR MIND IS BE. 99% OF PEOPLE IN THE TREMULOUS COMMUNITY ARE OUT OF ELEMENTARY, SHOW AT LEAST A DROP OF COMMON SENSE, AND CAN FIGURE OUT THAT THOSE REVIEWS ARE JUST GUIDELINES AND THE OP'S OPINIONS.
2. "NO, HE COULD CREATE A SEPERATE TOPIC FOR REVIES." NOW STAY WITH ME HERE, THIS IS WHERE IT GETS TRICKY. MOVING HIS VIEWS TO A DIFFERENT TOPIC, WOULD REQUIRE THE OP TO TAKE HIS OPINIONS OUT OF THIS TOPIC, AND MOVE THEM TO ANOTHER. ALSO, PEOPLE WANT IT ALL TO BE IN THE SAME PLACE, AS GETTING AROUND THE FORUMS CAN BE QUITE AN EPIC MANEUVER SOMETIMES.
3. WE'VE ALREADY ESTABLISHED THAT YOU ARENT FORCING ANYONE TO DO ANYTHING, SO WHY BRING IT UP?

Don't discuss my post, go back to topic. Try to have a better day, Dr. Noob, PhD; you are too stressed today.

AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED, AS LONG AS THE TRAIN OF POSTS SLOWLY (OR SOMETIMES NOT SO SLOWLY) DIGRESS FROM THE ORIGINAL TOPIC, ITS STILL ON TOPIC. SO WE ARE ON TOPIC
AND IM NOT STRESSED OUT, I JUST LIKE WRITING IN ALL CAPS :p

In complete agreement. HUDs, when catalogued, should be listed with objective facts/points regarding their characteristics, not subjectively and to the discretion of the reviewer.

It's pretty obvious that the reviews aren't that serious (I got a 4/5 in one area without mention of a single flaw in the description).
That doesn't mean they can't be useful, though - I think most Trem players are smart enough to make up their own minds based on the information about the HUDs that Plague mentions in his reviews. Sometimes you might choose something just because you notice in the review that its reviewer hates a feature you love.
And hey, there's plenty of other ways to promote a HUD, if that's what you're interested in. Start up a website for it, respond to feature requests and bug reports, and keep working to improve on the original design.

Anyone with half a brain decides for himself from the screenies and only uses the review as a quick guide. Now quit it.
