They have freeware software to map keyboard keys to your controller buttons.

found a link to one of the moast popular ones  http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm

The most effective way to play a 3d-shooter on pc is to use mouse / keyboard.

I am using an Belkin Nostromo N52 instead of a keyboard though... there is even a linux application for binding keys on it... ;)

Cheers, Danny

I just use an xbox360 controller, and find what the pc's code for the buttons is (like the mouse has mouse 1)
