I'm a film/game music composer. I'm interested to see what the possiblities are, and would love a chance to rework the soundtrack for tremulous. How could I get involved and write a totally custom soundtrack for the game? For a couple quick samples of my work you can check out ms-studios.com/michaelshumway/audio/. Anyways, I don't know who to approach on this, so anyone that has a clue, let me know.

Provo, huh? Novell is out there, right? Well, back on topic...
If you do contribute anything, chances are you'll have to release under a Creative Commons license, like the rest of the game data. Read up on Creative Commons over there (http://creativecommons.org/).
Other than that, I imagine adding game music wouldn't be that hard. But that's not my area to judge, I can't code for the life of me. You'd probably have to talk to the devs about that.

Yeah, Novell is out here. I would have no problem making the music creative commons. If I was able to do a soundtrack, would it be released as a mod, or could I possibly get it bundled with the actual game distribution, because that would be ideal. How can I get a hold of the devs?

On #tremulous or through a PM.

Timbo doesn't read PMs

Does anyone know if someone has tried to build the player into tremulous yet? I know timbo was asking for volunteers...
-
Nope, there was talk about it, but no one was into it.
-
alrighty then. I guess it'll just have to wait for another time and place... ;)
-
They might work on it faster if there was an actual soundtrack to listen, don't lose hope :)
Great music btw

Anyway we can get permission from Tenacious D to use "Metal"? (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/Smileys/HLP/lol.gif)

You could string together some soundtracks, mix them @ random, including the current one. XD
