there should be real clan tags in Trem
(http://www.homepeace.com/purple/images/timezones.gif)
EST[Pro], EST[Reg], EST[Nub]
3 grades X 4 timezones = 1 doz. USA clans = 1 league
then these things would take care of themselves
just fer instance
C[Gunther], C[Anthony], C[Nicole]
Pro:
East plays Central Monday @ 8 pm Eastern, Mountain Tuesday @ 9 pm Eastern, West Wednesday @ 10 pm Eastern
Central plays East Monday @ 7 pm Central, West Tuesday @ 9 pm Central, Mountain Wednesday @ 8 pm Central
Mountain plays West Monday @ 8 pm Mountain, East Tuesday @ 7 pm Mountain, Central Wednesday @ 7 pm Mountain
West plays Mountain Monday @ 7 pm Pacific, Central Tuesday @ 8 pm Pacific, East Wednesday @ 7 pm Pacific
Reg. Division plays one hour earlier
N00b Div. two hours earlier
Thursdays off
Fri. - Sun. schedule repeats (weekend warriorz)
players commit to at least 3 matches per week, weekday or weekend
E, C, M, & W
Alaska & Hawaii play as West, Nova Scotia & points E play as East
weekday matches home for team farthest east
weekend matches home for team farthest west
example:
East[Pro] plays Central[Pro] Monday @ 8 pm Eastern, 7 pm Central, on East's server, and again on Friday at the same time on Central's server
[Pro], [Regular], [N00b]
Euro League somethjin' similar
ninjedit mini-contest: internet cookie to first poster who correctly names the above alluded-to players (all of whom are forum posters and well-known Tremsters), namely: C[Gunther], C[Anthony], C[Nicole]
hah, still 1-eleventy-1!!!!

I like this idea
-
why are alaska and hawaii in there? that just serves to annoy the people living there that won't be playing
-
waflz, you have no clue what you are talking about. STFU.
@Player1
It's a nice idea, but I doubt you'll get the clans to agree.
Especially when they argue among themselves.
-
caveman, you have no clue what you are talking about STFU
what the hell is your problem with me
-
Waflz made sense becasue it shows their isn't a clan for alaska and hawaii so they are missing out. Maybe you should reread the post next time and try to find out what it means rather than shouting at people.
-
@ the 2 tards,
maybe you should use, what you pass off as a brain?
Just because you 2 have never heard / met players from there, does not mean that there are none.
Oh and if you try real hard, you might find out that county borders do not matter for a clan.
So while there might not be exclusive clans for Alaska or Hawaii, you are dead wrong if you think those counties don't have Trem-players.
So once again, you'd better keep quiet if you can't grasp the basic idea.
On another side-note, please don't exchange "their" for "there", it makes you sound like a 6yo Redneck.
-
What does this have to do with clans? A clan is an association of players loosely connected by similar purposes and often a group of friends, not a cluster of players arranged by timezone.
What I infered from the original post is a type of system suitable for a ladder-based arrangement, with players being numerated within a ranking separate from other timezone ladders. Of course, an accurate ladder would require a concrete method of identifying players - a dilema Caveman should surely have something to say in reference to..

*sigh* don't get me started...
-
Player1 I like the idea of timezone tags, but I don't think you'll get much farther than that. It's hard enough to organize a clan when all the members know each other and volunteered to join - trying to organize everyone into a geographically-based (not volunteer-based) clan system is just impossible.

I never said there were none.

I never said they did.

Ty for pointing that out
Red text is my replies.

Huh... now that I read that again, he typed did the country/county thing twice.
Nitrox
What's that about an "std" and a "cout"?
-
// my first program in C++

int main ()

int loopy=0;
while(loopy=0)
{
cout << "Hello Trem Retards!";

Too bad it's incorrect (note the assignment, not comparison, operator in the while loop condition).
-
And where do the Europeans gamers fit into this?
-
Not. as they should. Us euros have way less trouble with this stuff. And playing intercontinental is asking for trouble until unlagged is perfected.

it's in original post, CoH:
alaska & hawaii play as west
no games start before 7 pm or after 10 pm, hopefully
(for PRO division, that is; REG starts and ends one hour earlier, NOOB starts and ends two hours earlier)
shrug
agreed, plague, it is more of a ladder idea that maybe four to six of the bigger, more organized clans could quietly begin facilitating
tru dat, caveman
agreed, comp, duly noted, valued input; possible ladder system for four organized clans in secret league?
duly noted, steely
lol, comp
thoroughly expected, 'TRoX
shrug
double-shrug
