Of the alleged 300 new features, I fail epically to find something really new that has not been done / programmed before.
So please enlighten me and do tell my why you'd spend money on this?
-
Because work will get it for me, and I don't have to spend a dime :>

Apple has a reputation for doing a really solid job on whatever they do, whether it's innovative or not. Also, Mac programmers tend to do pretty neat things with whatever new features Apple cooks up.

Oh, you mean like selling a castrated sim-locked phone, that still has PCB-issues, not to mention lowering the price in such a way they nearly got cited because of it?
Or did you mean to say that that they did good by jumping on the intel train?
Also, Mac programmers tend to do pretty neat things with whatever new features Apple cooks up.
You talk about Apple-features and programmers.
What language exactly do those ppl use that sets them apart from the rest of the world?
But most importantly, where is the beef on your claim?
What features exactly??

i think leopard is pretty cool, on the other hand i'd on a Vista laptop and i happen to think it's pretty cool as well, of course i can't really compare anything to most distributions of linux because that would be unfair to corporations
-
Well, there isn't as much flaming as I foresaw, but there are some fairly overt windows users *cough*caveman*cough*.
Not saying thats bad Cave, but it was kinda obvious when you dissed the iPhone. Although I agree with you, I have to say it's still better than any other mobile phone out there...
-
Uhm... Kaleo. I killed Windows around 1995, been using Linux ever since.
So questioning and trying to get an exact answer out of those buzzwords makes me a windows user?
As for the iphone... just call up any comparison with some other phones in the same price-range and you'll see that iphone is missing out on a whole range of features .) (wifi, none-drm media, interconnectivity just to name 3 )
That is not dissing in my book, just the truth.

I fail epically

Woa Gareth, finally managed the art of reading?
Gratz. :P

I've never even used the iPhone, and at any rate I was talking about their OS in this case, which is the subject of the thread. And judging by general response (your response doesn't really count because you hate the entire universe anyway), yes, switching to Intel seems to have been a good idea.

It's not how they do it, it's what they do. When I was on a Mac, I saw armfuls of just generally neat or unique programs for it, and now that I'm back on windows, I haven't seen nearly as many, despite the larger amount of programmers for Windows. I'm not sure if it's because of the OS or the users, but I know it's true. I'd go into more detail than that, but you're not worth the time is all. :)

YOU TAKE THAT BACK! D:

How can I when this thread demonstrates the accuracy of my statement?

Yeah, in my experience, the Linux elitists aren't nearly as voraciously hateful towards Windows as Maccies, in general. It's ridiculous how some of them can be lol.
-
What's really amazing is that mac fans usually have arguments and facts instead of buzzwords only.
-
