Does any one raise their gamma? Just curious.. I keep the default Gamma
-
I keep it at about 1.2. Which I think is a good look on most the maps (using brightness calibrated monitor)
Though Ive heard many going quite overboard... 2-3
-
hehe i use 4
dont bother hiding in dark corners ill c ya....
-
I usually use 1.6, but I have binds to step it up or down in game.
-
I am using 2.0, but gamma setting depends from the monitor's brightness. I like when everything is illuminated, so I slide gamma up by most FPS games. It isn't good for graphics, though.
-
My gamma is currently at default.
But, my monitor is still new and bright.
-
2-4...but that depends on what weather and daytime i got here ;)
-
My gamma is at the maximum, the levels are dark enough at full gamma that anything lower would make seeing the map too hard, for me anyway.
-
Got my Monitor on full brightness with balanced contrast so I can play with default gamma, enjoy all the eye-candy and have it bright enough to see everything I need... ;)

I use default, as shadows don't seem to affect character/building models, so there is no point
-
What about the ability to see the terain or the see the doorway that's right in front of you (true Doom story).
-
With high brightness setting on a standard quality monitor everything fine... trem is not as dark as doom3 or gloom.
Raising gamma does not give me any advantage, it just makes shadows uglier and textures look washed out... so no point using anything above 1.0. ;)
