I am looking to start a server, and wonder what services you use, and what services would support tremulous. I do not want to pay to much.
Thanks

That's funny I was wanting to start a server also. Everywhere I turn it'll end up costing like 300/month(US) b/c I would have to rent an entire server, b/c it would have to be a custom server. The preinstalled servers that the company would maintain for a quake III server like 16 player spots was about 30.00/month(US), and that was from www.speakeasy.com.
I'm guessing if I had my own company server for my own company webpage (not just an account through a webhosting service) that I could run a trem server in the background.

Wait 2 Months, I will have vservers for rent then (about 90$ each)

You can pick up a cheap dedicated / VPS for between $60 - $100 depending where you look, that'll be fine for trem.
-
what is VPS and where would I find that?

We got five to six servers running on 2 dedicated servers in Nuernberg, Germany.
Each cost 39 Euro per month (about 50 USD).
We tried to run 4 servers on one machine but that causes some lags. With 3 servers on one machine there are no problems.

Correction: With build14 server binaries and decent com_hunkmegs settings the lag with 4 servers/machine issue seems gone.
The machines are AthlonXP3000+, 1GB RAM, 100MBit/s connection, Debian. Running some CoD2, BF2 and Tremulous servers...
Cheers, Danny
