In this map im making, whenever i try build it it comes up with a leak for no reason. normally its a structure, like the om or rc, but sometimes its a light THAT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF SPACE, eg:

* = Light
and no, im not a newb who makes a map without a roof or floor and goes crazy when they cant build it, but im not an Uber-Pro Builder either ;D
ive tried lotsa stuff and nothings worked, so the answer must be something ive never heard about or sumthing.
Help?

Ensure that:
All void-isolating brushes are structural.
All void-isolating brushes fit exactly with absolutely no gaps.
All entities, including that light, are entirely within a volume sealed from the void.
Use view->camera->next leak spot to look towards where the map is leaking. Or follow the bold red line to find the leak spot.

put a hollow caulk box around everything! ;D the quick fix...

...and the quickest route to an inefficient map that's impossible to optimise. Find the leak and fix it.

found out why it leaked. the entities i thought were making it leaked did not make it leak. turns out i was right:
must be something ive never heard about
the person i got the original .map from decided to try to make lights while a brush was selected, so numerous brushes were actually lights
Delete, redraw, s'all good ;D thanks for the help Taiyo.uk and suggestions n.o.s.brain
New question: Is there anyone here willing to make maps people have drawn with pencil n paper?

Well, if it's an awesome piece of concept art then a decent mapper may be inspired enough to make something of it. Else just... no.

So basically, if its a damn good drawing, seems like it will have good gameplay and the detail is enough, then a mapper might think about it.

Yes. A drawing which makes people think "I absolutely must play some trem there!".
