Post by: Higher Game on December 01, 2007, 01:36:01 am
How do non crawling aliens get out of the lower tunnels? Is it even possible?

It might take a while, but you can eventually mara-hop or pounce out of the tunnels.

Of course, tyrants are a lost cause altogether.  \kill is your (suicidal) friend.

For a dragoon pounce straight up while facing the ladder and turn 180 degrees midair. You'll land a ledge than you can use to get out. Tyrants require a dretch to "dretch-lift" them out, but its not possible on all servers. (knockback/FF/or something else messes with standing on teammates)

Actually, that's /kill , not \kill  Use the ? button, not the | button.

AH, i was wondering what it was that changed, that made dretch-lift so much harder to do.

No tyrant will slash your way out of the basement, not even with your client :P

/me will try this.  But jr2 could have sworn he tried before and it didn't work.

You don't need to suicide as a rant. Just get a dretch to hop on to, and it'll do a "dretch lift" to get you out of the tunnel.

ya, hamstar is right.... i was showed this quite a while ago... just get a dretch below ya, then just keep hopping while dretch slowly wall-crawls up...

but then again, i prefer to remain down there as a rant so i get camp evos and anyone who gets stuck always die... hehehe

Theres 3 methods your missing you could always decompile the .bsp with gtk then add elevators and recompile. But then you'd need to host server and everyone who joined would need to dl the new version. :P Also you could make a mod that allows wall climbing for all aliens or super jumping. Mod with devolve.

Steely Ann is right.  Perhaps I tried using \ on an old client, and so didn't use it on my new one.  IDK.

hehe...

maybe Tremor's main floor's "bricks" should fall down with every jump so at the end tyrants could fall down to the pit ^^ that worked for Super Mario versus Browser  ::)
