Title: A bit of this and a bit of that...

I got some feedback. Though I'll just get straight to the point.

1. Visible angle indicators for aliens with wallwalking. Like the game Alien vs Predator has. Maybe it has been discussed before, I don't know.

2. Making energy weapons not buy energy instantly, but over a little time instead. Would make repeaters a little less useful. Could also be done to only affect repeaters.

3. This I know has been pointed out before, but I want to reinstate it. HUD-reading for buildings. Either for builders or everyone.

4. Modifying armory interface. I feel that selling equipment is pointless, except for grenades. Could be done that it automatically sells what's needed when you buy something, instead of making you first sell and then buy something.

5. De-evolving. I know it has been said that you don't like the idea. But I think it would be more balanced to include it, as humans already have the system. It's especially annoying for tyrants that can't get to certain locations, to lose evolve points, when it could have been unnecessary.

6. Evolution timer. Maybe 5 seconds or so. Probably been mentioned before.

7. Flashlight upgrade for certain weapons. Could not only be used to lighten up areas, but also to mildly blind aliens. Seen it was turned down before, but it can never hurt to ask I guess.

8. Making Mass Driver more useful. Been said a lot before.

9. Radio commands. Has also been mentioned before, but I support it as well.

Can't think of any more right now. But these are things I personally would like to see being adressed in some way or another.

Would be helpful, but if you play a lot, I think you learn the maps and ceilings a well :D.

Repeaters are underused as it is. I think it wouldn't be a good idea to cripple them more.

Good idea, if I remember correctly, we all agreed that this could be it. OM and Reactor should be visible for every Human/Alien, as well as their health points.

You're absolutely right, it's annoying and deceptive for newbies. There's no logic in the system it uses now.

Not a good idea, imagine Dretches pouring out of the vents, then popping to Tyrants  :-? .

Have been rejected, I think. It's not a must-have, anyway. And could be annoying when leveling the enemy's base.

Not necessary, it would only make you use another button :D.

Yes, Mass Drivers aren't as useful as they should. It kills a Dretch in one shot, but it has a high load time and small clip capacity. I think devs wanted to make them sniper-like slow-firing but powerful weapons. But in Trem, there aren't places for snipers (luckily).

Let's get both of them, selling equipment can be useful when you want to minimise the costs of a suicide run.

Only real need to devolve as an alien is when your last ganger dies, so maybe an option to 'evolve' into a ganger but uses half your evolve points.

Aliens without spawns and grangers = humans without spawns, ckits and armory. There really isn't much of a difference there once you take into account the advantage of eggs being standalone. In both cases if you let it come to that you already lost. Devolution would only lead to long boring egg hunts.

Exactly ! Aliens have it far too easy to replace lost eggs everywhere in the level. There is no need to make it even easier for them.

Fact is, if you have no eggs and no grangers, it means aliens played badly and lost. Some games last long enouth already without the need to remove even more of the game ending events.

De-evolving is a common idea that keeps coming up.  My 2ยข on the matter is that I like the idea, but I agree that it would be dangerous to allow aliens to evolve and de-volve and swap between different classes.

An idea on this matter:

If the aliens had to use a 'building' to devolve like humans do it would make it reasonable.  For example, you have to return to the overmind and return your bodily juices then get spat out of an egg somewhere as usual.

The tough thing for aliens is that a builder can't evolve into an attacking class to defend the base and then go back to being a builder.  A human on the other hand can do that.  For an alien, you need to turn into a dretch, defend, then go find a turret to kill you off so you don't feed...

This would negate the concern about prolonging an egg hunt, because an OM would be required to de-evolve.  No OM, no grangers, you are stuck just as always.

I agree to that idea of overmind having a "suicide" action, much like reactor|repeator have a reload action.

The action would be the equivalent of a /kill, but instantaneous instead of a wait timer.

The in-game message could say: Joe was reclaimed by the overmind.... or Joe was eaten by the overmind.

Actually, kill causes you to lose one evo point. When you need to suicide, it's probably better to get killed by some human or a turret than use /kill

I like this idea as well.  If the "spits you out of an egg" requirement is there, then no eggs+no granger == humans w/o ckit,armory,spawn, keeping that balance.  It would be good if evo points could be maintained, much like humans selling equipment to downgrade.

On another note, dretches would not be able to pour out of vents, and evo into tyrants on top of the human base.  There is already a restriction on where aliens can evolve (there cannot be humans on the alien's radar).
