I have no idea. In its current state XreaL is fast enough. On my NVIDIA Geforce 7800GT, I get 60FPS.
Really, I think someone will have to do it sometime. I think it should be a goal for Linux game devs to create a game that is on-par with modern games for Windows. With XreaL that's possible.
