Hey all this is my first time posting. :P
I have Tremulous installed on my PowerBook G4 (a Mac laptop). I downloaded Trem from the apple website just fine, and I can play and all that great stuff. I just have a problem with downloading maps and other items.
When I download a map (as a .pk3 file, i think), my Mac gives me the message that "the BASE folder cannot be modified.... you do not hae sufficient priviliges...." and blah blah blah. So basically I can't download maps. Is this my computer, or is it because I'm running Trem on a Mac? :o
Another problem that I have is creating a server. I go into the game, click on "create server," get all of my stuff set up and then I start it up.... and it crashes. Every time. I figured out another way that doesn't crash, typing /devmap atcs or whatever in the console, and I can play online with others, but then I have to reset all of the BPs and stuff every game.
What is happening with the maps and downloads? I would appreciate any help you guys could give my on this.
Thanks. :granger: :granger: :granger: Go Grangers!

I'm on a Mac too, and have no such problems. Try adjusting your permissions. Also, get an SVN client, then we'll talk :)

When I look at the permissions, they just are blanked out and I dont think that there is any way to change them. And what is an SVN client? :P
Is it just that my computer is too old and lame?
Thanks.

I am going to guess that you are playing out of the disk-image. Hold down the <option> key and drag the disc image into "Applications". Also, I recommend that you just download maps IN-GAME. In the console, type "cl_allowDownload 1" and "cl_wwwDownload 1".

Oooh. Nice one Doomagent, didn't even think of that one.
If that's not it, what model computer do you have, Wheatz?
