I havent not played ET:QW, but I think more maps will be better for Tremulous, and maybe better particle fx, a better browser, more dedicated server, good players, etc.

We'll have to wait and see how it handles interior missions, as thats what most of Trem is about. Only other use for a large scale engine like that would be base levels interior/exterior, but would still probably waste most of the abilities of the engine.

Isnt it a built of the doom3 engine?
-
As was said. Since it's an evolution of the Doom 3 engine, one can be pretty certain it'll work ok :)

+terrain engine
Most terrain engines are very complex and advanced, but the Carmack one is amazing low tech, but is well engineered by Carmack so ... work!.. Its amazing, because such design is something you think a newbie will try and failed, and a expert coder will avoid. But Carmach as designed around this lame idea a enormeous simple terrain engine that seems work very well.
You can also say that nowdays 3dcards have lots of memory, so also give credits to the 3dcars makers, because Carmack is a giant on the soulder of 3dcards giants.
