I almost always lose 1v1 fights with dragoons as an S1 human, but I almost always win against S2 aliens as an S2 human. The aliens should get advanced goons at S2 and the humans need some head protection in S1, like a weak helmet without radar.
The game should be balanced for individual fights in all stages. Only S3 is actually balanced, since a lucifer cannon and battlesuit can work against a tyrant. The beginning favors aliens too much and the middle humans.

uh norf already did just that.

Get lost moron.
If you play a team-play-game like that, you totally missed the complete point of this game.
-
I think he's talking about the "Oh shit I'm in the middle of the hallway at ATCS and my team just deserted me and OH SHIT it's a goon I must face him 1 on 1" scenario.
-
If I decided to play with the rest of the team that would mean camping.
-
The whole point of 1.1 balance is that humans lose 1v1, aliens lose many v many.
S1 is a bit more tipped toward A and S2 is a bit more tipped toward H, but the above rules still apply.
You're still a bit green, however, if you think a luci suit will regularly win 1v1 a tyrant.
-
go see doogie with an adv mara and tell me with a straight face that s2 aliens are too weak
-
4shotgun larmour has a pretty good chance against 4 goons. And many s1 humans can solo goons.
S2 is slightly unbalanced, but as long as aliens have poison they should stand a pretty good chance against s2 hummys.

Not regularly, but enough to give it a chance. Maybe 40/60. The tyrant has to be the aggressor, so the luci can get a hit in before it closes range. If it misses (which is highly likely), the human can retreat and the tyrant has to get 3 hits in, so retreat is definitely also highly likely. If it hits, just one more good shot will finish the job. Whereas a shotgun wielding light armor against a goon has maybe 5/95 of winning, if even that, because of the instakill head shot. He just doesn't have a fair chance.
Just add in a cheap 50 credit radarless helmet just good enough to stop the goon instakills. Hell, make it so weak that a dretch still kills in 2 hits. Just adding it in to give an individual human a fair chance against a goon would make S1 so much better.
Hell, the huge alien win ratio is arguably due to S1 goons alone. This single balance issue throws off the entire game.

Humans can own aliens if they work as a team. The only reason aliens win most games is cause of idiotic teams who don't build/work as a team.

That's not the team's problem, that's the game's problem. If the only way to play as a team is to camp the base, then something is wrong.

no it's the team's problem, i've seen plenty of games where humans worked together. they won most of those games, and completely wiped the floor with aliens in quite a few more than you would expect. though the last time i saw humans working together like that was many months ago(unless you count the games where friends stacked the humans, those are always fun), but that's more proof that it's the players' fault and not the game's.
-
I'm sorry but the things you say just aren't how it is and you should play more with both better and more varied people.
-

Poor word choice. Sure, it happens sometimes (used to happen a lot more), but not plenty.

it used to happen plenty on the servers i frequented (aliens being forced to eggspam on transit 3 minutes in was a regular occurence). yeah today trem players suck, but there are ways to avoid most crappy players and have some decent games.

IS IT THE GAMES PROBLEM IF YOUR TO DUMB TO WORK AS A TEAM? HOW THICK CAN YOU GET?
-
Well, here's the thing: The game will encourage or discourage different types of gameplay. Skill level is also involved. And, n00bs will do whatever the heck they feel like anyways, so count on them to do the opposite of what should be done. (eg: charging the aliens after they almost nuke your base, camping during lulls of alien attacks, putting every single ret near the base in S1, or every single ret at outskirts of RC power area in S3)

Just pls seriosly: Stop posting. Whenever you want to post: STOP! Sit down and think pls. Just because you didn't have ever seen an organized human team that does not mean there is none. Get skills, learn about the game and stop makeing these extraordinarily stupid posts.
This one nearly stopped my heart dead. :o :o :o :o :o

Humans have range.
Only S3 is actually balanced, since a lucifer cannon and battlesuit can work against a tyrant.
2 average chainsuits >1 average :tyrant:. With luci it's all about anticipation and timing.

HI IM NEW TO TREMULOUS AND I THINK YOUR GAME IS NOT BALANCED SINCE I KEEP ON DYING.
-
Wow, good impersonation.

This is becoming a flaming thread partly, lock pls.
