It seems that dead bodies can block spawns. Can someone confirm that ? Confirmed as invalid
And if that's true, what would you say about removing that ?[/b]

i think its a feature not a bug, its only logic that a spawn can be blocked by a dead body.
And since dead bodys decay (sink into ground) after some time, i don't see a problem.

Just killed myself a couple of times on top of the only remaining spawn after i deconstructed the rest, on both aliens and humans. Doesn't seem to be a problem.
Maybe connected to someone who died lagging out on top of the spawn instead? Like when the game can't end because the last member on the opposing team is dead but just lying there lagging out.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation. I knew already about those lagging/disconnect/not really dead bug but I guess I misunderstood one of those cases with a more general "dead body block spawn".
Nothing more to see here then.

Live bodies can certainly block human spawns. I've seen this used as a griefer tactic. Perhaps if the telepads telefragged :) It would also be funny to explode a tyrant who is in the processes of stomping one.

Live bodies yes, dead ones no.

I used that as a valid tactic once :) Humans had built a small, remote, cramped and very very hard to access base. With some work, I was able as a dretch to enter, kill one or two humans and die because of a turret but mostly because of the ractor. The only safe place was on top of their only telenode :) it just happened that I was able to kill the last human and land on the safety of their telenode before they spawned. Problem was I was a dretch and if I moved only one inch, I would have been killed by turrets or the reactor :D
I just had to stay here and wait until the rest of my team decided to morph to marauder and do a few suicide runs on the base to kill the reactor.
