Title: Names
Post by: myusername on January 27, 2008, 09:07:44 pm
I want to make a new name. I already know how to do the colors, but how do you put spaces? I did the space bar but it removes the second word. :( And how do you make long names without it being cut off by a couple letters? Please help me!  ;D

This probably belongs in Troubleshooting instead of General Discussion..

To do spaces in your name, enclose the name in double quotes, ie: /name "My name with spaces"

You can also do this in the menu, and then don't need the quotes.

As for length, Tremulous has a limit of 30 characters on name length, which includes color codes.  If your name gets cut off, try removing a color or two to make it shorter.

If you're going to insult others at the same time you attempt to answer their question, might I suggest you at least be correct with your answer?

Ohh, okay thank you so much! Sorry I didn't know where to put the topic, I'm still new to the trem forums.

No problem - that's why there's a "move" command :>
