Today, I played on Niveus as alien. Humans tried to quickly move to the long room on stage 1. It gave us great opportunity for feeding we used. We couldn't stop them from setting up enough turrets in the long room but we got enough evo points to own their old powered down base. They still had armory, medistation and telenodes there, real feeding paradise. Humans had no chance to recapture the base or decontruct the buildings. The mistake some aliens did was destroying the buildings for them. Without alien help, humans couldn't afford even building a telenode in safety.
Do not destroy abandoned human buildings (except powered turrets, teslas and defence computer you can't power down). If you can power them down, do it. Camp them instead and feed on humans trying to salvage them. If humans leave enough buildings behind you can camp, it can completely cripple them.
Edit: In sudden death, always attack what will hurt most. That means overmind and eggs for aliens and armory and telenodes for humans.
If you have other base crippling tactics, post them here.

Marauders are always great for attacking bases, as humans do tend to crowd around the armoury, so 2/3 kills before they know whats happening. If you are lucky you can take down a human base with a marauder and later a dragoon within 8 minutes, which I did on the fusion plant level(can't remember the name atm) and I don't rate myself as a great player.
The only thing is any proper teamwork will mean crippling them becomes hard if not impossible. It will always be the 'move reactor first' crowd that gets killed off in minutes.

Depends on the map in an 8-10player game 1:20 is the record on transit. Just jump in headbite once - evolve to basilisk - head bite again - evolv to mara - then slice and dice veryone from above and kill of the spawns.
That works on everymap except for uncreation that cna be a pain and the ass. There you just team up with or two goons and suicide jump over their base and kill their reactor.

it is irritating when aliens get all "trigger happy" so to speak and kill the armory, telenodes, whatever of a left behind base when it would serve to hurt the humans at least, or at best give a ton of kills to the aliens. the same doesn't tend to apply with humans because aliens are less base dependent. Still, for those that find an egg right next to the human base, it wouldn't hurt to put a turret right nearby to lock it down and annoy them. also, people should remember to kill the OM and spawn first.

Well, that's a hard question in fact. You can either keep the telenodes for some spawn camping ownage, but on the other hand, if you kill them now, most of the time the new base doesn't have any other telenodes and so humans are then very very weak. Also, killing an egg or a telenode gives you points so can you evole from that basilisk to a dragoon and jump in the new base and kill the last builder.
All in all, if the new base is nearby and they just started building it, kill those old telenodes as soon as possible I think. If the new base is too strong, I'm not sure what is the best thing to do :)

At S2 and above, one Repeater powers up a base.
