I'm sorry but i haven't been in kinda of new to forums, but not the the game, and i was wondering what the heck
is karma? how do u get em? how do u lose em? what r they for? i tried looking in the help section but im so dang lazy.!!! im sorry for being a noob but that is only in forums.
Karma is stupid, just ignore it.
after a certain amount of posts, you can applaud or smite users once in an hour if you wish. this way he gets +1 or -1 karma. you can show your simpathy or antipathy by that.
at the same time it does not give any practical bonus or disatvantage.

Other people give and take your karma by clicking on the applaud or smite buttons under the lace where it says karma. For an exmaple I just clicked the smite under your kara giving you -1 karma which adds up to -2. ;D
